We are pleased to continue our series of releases from a long time West Coast taper/collector that passed away last year. He transferred his extensive archives to CDR years prior to his passing and then passed it to a close friend. His friend has been involved in the Bay area music scene for the last five plus decades and understands the importance of getting these historic shows out to the collectorís community. We are working closely reviewing the shows and researching current circulation as well as upgrades.

We are pleased to close out The Academy Of Music run of shows with the last night of the stand which was a Sri Chinmoy Benefit. There is not a lot of info on this show, it does not appear to have been advertised along with the 11th and 12th.

The set is about half of the usual length of Santana sets in 1974, the last two songs with Paco de Lucia were listed as October 13th and appear after Santana's set on the recording but it is unknown if that is where the two songs fell within the show.

I have had to manually get rid of some microgapping that was in the trade CDR set I got, I hope I have done so to everybody's satisfaction. This show is too amazing not to share. 
I rate this EXCELLENT soundwise, will post a sample in a bit. Personally I love this concert, just because it features so many "unknown" and rarely performed favourites and some tracks featured on the Brothers Album. 
According to Santanamigos this concert misses "Transmutation/Industrial" as D2T10 but to me it sounds like the concert is over after Jingo, which was the last song of the show for the concerts around this era. I am open to any additional information. Amigos also notes this: Broadcast at an unknown date on Polish TV.

It IS a bit strange, I have to admit, since one-third is AUD, while the rest is a stunning SBD. Part of this show was also broadcast as an FM, but this came to me some years as a non tradable SBD. Luckily, my source gave me permission to share it now. The SBD, however, was incomplete, but I also had an AUD source, which I added on CD 3 to make it a complete show.
Some of you might object against this method, but then just leave out CD3 in your download. I could also upload the entire AUD, but listening to the quality of CD 1 and 2, that would ne superfluous, I think. The show itself rocks! Dealer/Spanish rose wasn't played that often and Incident alone is worth the download!! On CD 3 a lot of improvising with some very recognizable riffs. Bo Diddley, La Bamba, Cocaine...those were the days! Unfortunately Winnig is also there.... :))
