I have listened to a lot of Michael Schenker shows and cannot recall him ever speaking to the audience. As far as the vocals go - Gary Barden does ok, Graham Bonnet struggles, and Robin McAuley does well. Note - Graham Bonnet performs Broken Promises in this Aug 26 show. They had soundchecked Broken Promises on Aug 23 and 24, but did performed it only at the Aug 26 show. Listen to the samples. Scans are included too.

45 years ago on October 18, 1974, Rush played their first show in Kansas City. Sorry, this torrent is not that concert! :-) Instead, we go to the opposite end of the continuum: Rush's final Kansas City appearance from July 9, 2015. This recording is a composite mix of multiple IEM sources with an audience capture thrown in for good measure. A boot label called Xavel released the production in 2015 or 2016. Somehow it flew under the radar and apparently has not been torrented previously. The original pressing on silver discs sells for roughly $50 USD. Analog Kid Audio Video paid the price so you don't have to.

Liberated by Analog Kid Audio Video on October 26, 2019. The zeros and ones in this torrent are merely FLAC conversions of the zeros and ones in the Xavel release. No attempts were made to alter the original tracks.

•Multiple IEM sources were matrixed with an audience source to complete this incredible recording. The audience recording was released separately under the XAVEL-213 label.
•The "SMS" in the label name stands for "Silver Masterpiece Series".
•Disc 2, tracks 12-14 are bonus tracks from Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium, in Nagoya, Japan performed on June 18, 2013. The inclusion of these tracks are meant to have a complete record of all the songs the band played on their 2013 Japan tour. These three tracks were not performed at the Tokyo show, but were performed on the other dates.
•Disc 2, track 15 is from the pre-show Soundcheck at the Tokyo Dome. It mostly consists of Dave strumming an acoustic guitar and practicing Japanese. He does start Ice Cream Man near the end of the track.
•Front cover shows a background of the Tokyo Dome exterior in red and black along with a portion of the Japan Naval flag above. A gray scale image of Dave and Edward is superimposed over top. The VH logo and show title appear centered in the upper half of the cover.
•The inside of the booklet contains a bunch of gray scale shots of the band, and of the venue. Some are promo shots not directly related to this specific show, while others are from this show.
•The back of the booklet contains the rest of the Tokyo Dome and Naval flag image from the front. A VH logo is present, along with details about the recording.
•The under-tray image has a black background. The red and black image of the Tokyo Dome appears in a centered gold circle, with a gold VH logo over top.
•The rear artwork continues the same Tokyo Dome and Naval flag theme, but now contains an image of the band from the end of a show. Over top of that is the set list and information about the bonus tracks.
•Disc 1 has the Tokyo Dome image in red and black within a black circle with a gold VH logo over it.

Xavel made a name for themselves in 2015 when they released IEM matrixes of most of the dates on the Rolling Stones' 2015 U.S. tour. Since then, their releases typically have at least some wireless source in the overall mix, and almost without exception have been excellent. Recently, they have begun issuing a series of IEM matrixes from the early part of U2's 2018 "Songs of Experience" tour.

Sound quality is excellent. They seem to have done a pretty good job of de-emphasizing the click track and countdown between tracks; the only drawback is that it would be nice if they had used a good audience source to fill in the mix. Since it's only wireless, you have the tradeoff between sort of sterile sound vs. no audience interference.

Reviews were mixed for this tour, although few people thought it stood up well in comparison to their 2015 "Songs of Innocence" tour. With the benefit of hindsight, I think it did have its moments even if it didn't ever fully come together.

If you're a U2 collector and don't mind the unique sound that comes from IEM sources, chances are that you'll want some or all of these recordings.

This to my ears is the best quality recording of any of the "TEE" catalogue shows I have heard; the sound is crystal clear and well balanced, with a mostly super respectful and very quiet audience that never disturbs the recording. if anything the vocals sound slightly echoey - otherwise this recording is a real treat!
