{LATE ADDITION (By Subtraction) INFO -- Complete Show? No. Missing "Heart Of Glass."

You can hear HOG just start to follow FAaR, but fades away and radiates not, rather it stops and disappears, from only known existing, SBD recording. This was neither addressed nor mentioned by the uploader... Maybe whoever originally shared the SBD did not like "The Disco Song."}

Uploader's Comment: A comment from rtalwani on my Blondie May 4 1978 torrent asked if I had taped them in 1979 at the Palladium, with Fripp. I hadn't, but i did have a soundboard of that show. I didn't originally like the quality and gave it a "good" rating, sort of 3 out of 10. But I just gave it a listen and was suprised to find that it's really very good.
It's an odd mix, maybe a monitor recording for the rhythm section; certainly the bass and drums are quite present. But so is everything else, and it really is ok and doesn't even seem very far off the master. I took a quick look and it doesn't seem to be a common recording so here it goes. Maybe someone has a better copy, perhaps in stereo? This one seems to be mono.
I don't know the exact date, but this is the show that rtalwani was asking about because Fripp is on Sister Midnight and Heroes. My pitiful attempt at a songlist follows, feel free to correct...

Taken from disc two of the five-CD box "Goodbye Surfing, Hello God!", a collection of previously unissued Beach Boys material spanning their glory decade of 1963 through 1972. Demos, tracking and mixing sessions, and concert and television performances afford the listeners a "fly-on-the-wall" perspective that is both interesting and educational for the seasoned Beach Boys fan and collector.

Disc One
Old Grey Whistle Test November 2, 1976 (11:54)
This one odd interview with Robert Plant and band manager Peter Grant was uniquely conducted during a boat-trip down the famous Thames River.

Chicago, Illinois April 9, 1977 (14:55)
The fifth night of the tour! Page falls ill stopping the concert. Close but blurry footage with actual sound. Well worth watching for historic purposes. Listen as Plant explains to a befuddled audience why they are stopping the show early.

Chicago, Illinois April 10, 1977 (4:22)
Page is captured with his famous "stormtrooper" outfit. Full stage shot with synchronized sound makes it very pleasurable to watch.

Birmingham, Alabama May 18, 1977 (10:01)
A high commodity video back in the mid 1980s. Footage with actual sound filmed stage left.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana May 19, 1977 (14:58)
Arguably the best document of the band from this tour. Silent footage with fantastic stage shots. Also includes footage of the "Starship" arriving at the airport and the band is seen shuffling out. This film was unfortunately dirty or damaged when processed leaving a swarm of particles on the transfer, most noticeably during the brighter moments of the footage.

**********

Disc Two
Plaza Hotel, New York, New York June 1977 (2:16)
Amazing daytime footage of all four members outside the hotel. The band is seen hustling off to the awaiting limos. A rare off stage gem! Silent.

New York, New York June 14, 1977 (6:33)
Decent silent footage captured from left of the stage. The band is at its energetic best.

Los Angeles, California June 1977 (24:47)
Infamous footage that's been circulating forever. Synched with matching audio. Wonderful film capturing three of an incredible six night stand at the Fabulous Forum. The band reaching peaks at one of their favorite venues.

Los Angeles, California June 23, 1977 (9:43)
Historic treasure of footage of the famous "Badge-holders" gig with Keith Moon making a special guest appearance. Filmed from the front of the stage with synched audio. A summit of the two greatest drummers in rock!

Oakland, California July 23, 1977 (8:45)
An outdoor concert and filmed close to the stage. Clear daytime footage with synched audio, the band shows odd their power... flaws and all. Plant acknowledges all the nurses! This is the second to last ever United States performance of the band.

Simon & Garfunkel - 1993-11-12 - Toronto, ON (AUD/FLAC)

(Audience FLAC)

Simon & Garfunkel
1993-11-12
Skydome
Toronto, ON

Here's a show I've been meaning to get around to digitizing for a long, long time.

A charity concert put on to raise money for The United Way Children's Charities. The opening band was Blue Rodeo, probably playing to their biggest audience to date. They were followed by Gordon Lightfoot, and the closing act was Simon & Garfunkel. The night was MC'd by SCTV alumni Eugene Levy & John Candy.

Blue Rodeo's "Diamond Mine" from this evening was recorded, along with a snippet of Eugene & John discussing the benefit's recipient charities. I've added these 2 files. I have no recordings from Lightfoot's performance.

The recording is a bit distant, and the crowd is easily picked up. Part of the difficulty of trying to capture acoustic music in a 50,000+ seat stadium with a recording walkman's internal mics. This is not a great recording, but I've never seen another source for this show.

With the exception of a few friends this week, this is the first time this show has been circulated.
