Notes: I cut the opening announcement, I left one short announcement in so that I didn´t miss a count-in, and the announcementcut before Bad Company is not very good since the announcer went on and on and the audiencesound changed. This is a minor quibble though, and I think you´ll get over it.

What an amazing afternoon this was. 90 minutes of pure joy. Bands like these are what makes Sweden Rock ROCK, they can book all the big headliners in the world if they want - me, I go for the afternoon bands.

The FM-broadcast last night captured this. Man would I have loved to hear the full show in this quality, but for now we´ll settle with this and enjoy it. I said to a friend yesterday while listening - it´s like listening to a 70´s livealbum, only it was made in 2012. And I was there. Brilliant stuff, this!

Our first time at the "Fabulous Forum", here is our capture of the Bad Company set opening for Joe Walsh from the "One Hellava Night" Tour, and an acoustic guitar-singer (Steve Rodgers, without his band, playing before Bad Co). We were in the 2nd row of sec. 236 (dead center to the stage). The sound mix was very bass heavy, the LA area crowd was pretty well behaved and the recording came out well. Enjoy the recording!

I received this rather special show in a DAT trade in the very late 90's or very early 2000's from Glen Ely (IIRC), my first digital trade partner. For those who don't know – or don't remember for that matter, haha! – DAT cassettes were the first lossless trading medium, and for a spell were the quality standard for serious traders before the ultimate takeover by burnable CD-Rs. 

Our taper either only had one C 90 cassette tape with him, or – more likely – Pagey's and Plant's appearance after the actual show for a joint encore with Bad Co was such an unexpected surprise that didn't give him the time to dig up the second tape. At any rate, he simply flipped the cassette back to side A to capture this historic moment for posterity – despite taping over the first two numbers in the process (LIVE FOR THE MUSIC and GOOD LOVIN‘ GONE BAD). A real pity the two numbers are lost of course but at the same time that was clearly a case that necessitated a quick decision in favour of a lesser evil, I'say - and at least most Zeppanatix might agree. You can certainly hear well how the audience seem to go blotto in delight as the two Zeppos show up. :-)

One of the best if not the best early recordings of Bad Company after the release of their first album. Nice Quality compared to all of the early audience recordings floating around - An A/A- soundboard that I cleaned up using SoundForge - I received this a few years ago and it had considerable hiss in it and a few other rough spots.
