Non-bonus tracks: "For this I used two bootlegs , not counting the bonus tracks…:

"So it became a mix from these two bootlegs…"

Bonus tracks: "The swinging pig TSP-CD-088-2 silver."

Unfortunately, I do not have any further information about the "Brothers in Cleveland" boot other than the name.

Also from enlight (to give you the essence of what he did), not technically source/lineage info:

"Although there are some original silvers and other bootleg recordings from this show, none of them are running in the correct speed. They are all running too slow aprox. [sic] a semi tone (two half pitch steps). Except for the tracks "Brothers in Arms" and "Solid Rock" (from this date!!) these are running nearly a semi tone (two half pitch steps) too fast."

reviews:
This is one of the best sounding bootlegs you will ever hear. The sound quality is perfect, comparable with the official "On The Night" cd. The concert seems to be complete, except for Money For Nothing. Strange thing is that nobody seems to know where and when it was recorded, except that is must have been during the summer of 1992, somewhere in Europe. Highly, highly, highly recommendable.

DS comments:
Pretty good sound quality.
Great stunning performance.
Nice to hear "so far away" played
the long "why Worry" version ( with outro)
Played in the first week of the North American stage of the Brothers in arms world tour, the second show in Toronto of four in a row. It seems that the recording is missing the song Brothers in arms, apart from that it's the complete show

Enlight:
** SRV also played with DS in Toronto the 28th , as can been seen on Stevie Ray Vaughan Ticket Stubs: http://www.lookatstubs.com/bands/stevie_ray_vaughan.htm
the provided concert-ticket with the 27th of July on it  ( included in the file and comment section)tells us that at least SRV was a supporting act for the Straits twice in Toronto , where the straits perfomed four nights, 26,27,28,29th July!
So this the 27th July Toronto Dire Straits show for sure, and the concert-ticket can't be wrong, with Stevie Ray Vaughan ,from the master-tape!

Additional comments:
Radio broadcast with perfect sound!
One of the best versions of Walk of Life: Mark Knopfler is playing a great tune in the middle part. Very good concert musically.

Comments pyroman:
Great soundboard recording taken from a radio broadcast. Very recommendable. It's a pity that there are only six songs from Copenhagen, because Mark was clearly in great shape. This is truely a magnificent version of Sultans of Swing once again.

It was the only Irish gig of that tour.
Mark and band in a good mood.
great versions of Industrial disease and Romeo and Juliet.

The always very nice Irish crowd singing along with most songs ( not in a worrisome way), nice to hear the interaction between Mark and the audience during the intro of Portobelle Belle. Fun to hear the audience reaction to the "Irish reggae" part of this song>and as always a great guitar-Sax duet between Mark and Mel

12 Going home (with Hank Marvin)

Enlight notes:
A thing I wanted to do for a long time was to create a most complete version of the famous Wembley gig Dire Straits did on July 10th . All recordings (original silvers) so far contains 8 songs from this particular night with “Romeo and Juliet “ , “Expresso Love” and “ Solid Rock” added from the original released alchemy CD.(Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK, 23rd July 1983) This version contains all the songs recorded from that night and comparing to all the pervious recordings (orig. silvers) with the songs in the proper order as they were played that night.

A-Tracks: 02,03,04,05,06,07,08 ripped from the original silver “Walk On Stage”
B-Tracks: 01,09,11 Ripped from the DVD “Wembley does the walk” and remastered
C-Track: 13 Taken from The Superstar Concert series.

The tracks named under A and C have a perfect sound quality from origin.
The B tracks had a less sound quality , these tracks I remastered to bring them closer
To the FM sound quality as the other tracks (A,C).
These tracks are de-hissed ,de –crackled and EQ Changes are made with a parametric equalizer set in shelving mode. After that all tracks are volume normalized in a batch process.

So finally you can enjoy this famous and stunning show Dire Straits played at Wembley With all the available tracks out there in the proper order as they were played.

I named this version THE LONG STRAIT WALK TO WEMBLEY ( I guess you can figure out how I came to that title) to avoid mix ups with all the other existing recordings (original silvers) from this date.

Notice that the man is too strong was played before money for nothing during all concerts , so in this upload i fixed that, in the kindly created cover-art by shangrila1 they are mixed but that can be totally blamed to me!!!

WEMBLEY nIGHTS
Live July 1985

In July 1985, Dire Straits played 13 consecutive nights at the Wembley Arena during his Brothers In Arms Tour, having many special guests almost every night.

On of the nights, July 10th, was recorded and there are many version of the soundboard recording of that night, but as every song comes from different sources, there are "jumps" between all the songs because they sound different.

In this new version all tracks have been edited to avoid that jumps as much as possible and to complete it, I added extra songs with special guests of the other nights they played at Wembley.

All extra songs comes from good audience recordings.

All songs comes from flac files, and using Traders Little Helper I encoded them to wav, to do the editing with Sound Forge, and then to flac again (level 8) using Traders Little Helper.

All songs recorded on July 10th 1985 except extras

Comment:
DVD-Video containing the famous concert from Wembley 1985. Great show of the Brothers in arms tour, containing powerful versions. Nice to see the two guestplayers Nils Lofgren and Hank B. Marvin. Picture and sound quality are both very good. The picture is taken from probably one of the best preserved VHS tapes available and the sound is taken from the best sounding audio soundboard bootleg (Perfect Investigations), except for the songs Tunnel of love and Solid rock but which still have good sound. For a long time, there was no soundboard recording known of the song Going home. Until a rare radio show (Superstar Concert Series 98-26) turned up with a perfect soundboard version of this song. So, on this DVD, also the sound of Going home is as perfect as the rest. And... as a special bonus, the very rare version of Expresso love from this concert is also featured on this DVD! Picture and sound quality are less good than the rest of the recording, but still very nice to see this rare recording which makes this DVD a unique item! - http://www.oneverybootleg.nl/100785_dvd.htm

Geetarz Comments:
The cover art suggests that this show was recorded "On the first european tour of '79", but the majority was taken from a radio broadcast recorded in Werchter, Brussels, Belgium on July 5, 1981.

Sourced for CD release from LP from vinyl, has some crackles and pops. For better quality versions of this performance see "News" (On Stage - OS-CD19) and "Once Upon a Time" (Swinging Pig - TSP-CD-068).

Still, it's an important part of history from the "Golden Era" of silver CD bootlegs, and to me as well as it was the first Dire Straits ROIO CD I ever obtained.

New artwork scans done today, 300 DPI and 24 bit color. A scan of the original silver disc is also included so you know you're getting the "real deal".

DVD-Video containing parts of the famous Werchter concert from 1981. A very nice period of Dire Straits with interesting arrangements and a band full of energy. Good picture and sound quality.
As a small bonus, the Belgium news of 24th June 2001 is added. On this part, there is a small interview with Mark Knopfler and some
images from the Sailing to Philadelphia tour.

comment Enlight:
Taken from a KRO(dutch) 1982 television broadcast (exact month/day of broadcast and exact lineage unkown) Four camera's where used for capturing this show!

"private investigations insrumental"  was just the outro of "Angel of Mercy"back then, funny it became the outro of the real ""private investigations" released on the "Love over Gold" album! Mark must have really loved the "private investigation " melody, because he almost used the same guitar intro riff from "private investigations" for the "fistfull of icecream" tune on the "comfort and joy" record.

"we've got no lights tonight.....the lights are kaput( dutch/belgium for broken).....""
Mark says this because somebody had thrown a bottle of beer into the lightmixer, after that the lights were
only working at 10% of its capicity and only the white lights where working!!!**)

**) That also what 20 sec appearing dutch words in the screen tells you at the beginning of "Tunnel of love"
and that we have to thank the person who had thrown that bottle of beer in the light mixer for the "romantic" view.

The bonus is nice to watch , only the voice-over is dutch spoken and the translation of Mark's speech is subtitled in dutch.

Nice bootleg.
The sound quality could have been better, but it has a lot of rare songs that make this recording really worth having, like Real Girl, Me And My Friends and the Chuck Berry cover Nadine. Also an early version of Portobello Belle.

Comment(J.V.TOL):
Recording from Barbarella's in Birmingham 1978, some very rare songs, for example an ultra rare version of Me and my friends, Real girl and Nadine. Also one of the earliest versions of Portobello belle. Complete show

Enlight note:
Her evening paper is horror torn But there's hope later for Capricorns Her lucky stars give her just enough to get home. Then she's reading about a swing to the right But she's thinking about a stranger in the night (M.K.)
