Renaissance - 1982-03-06 - New York City, NY (FM/FLAC)

(FM Broadcast FLAC)

Renaissance
March 6 1982
The Palladium, New York, US

Annie Haslam - lead vocals
Jon Camp - bass, vocals
Michael Dunford - guitar
and, I think ...
Peter Gosling - keyboards
Peter Barron - drums

01 - Taped music; Can You Understand (intro) (3:00)
02 - The Vultures Fly High (3:29)
03 - The Day of the Dreamer (10:25)
04 - Camera Camera (6:35)
05 - Faeries (living at the bottom of the garden) (4:21)
06 - Running Hard (8:02)
07 - Northern Lights (5:46)
08 - Tyrant-Tula (7:22)
09 - Mother Russia (9:16)

Running time: approx 58 mins

Here's a broadcast (WNEW) from 1982. The band was still promoting the "Camera Camera" album of 1981 so 3 of the songs are from the album, but the band sounds better IMHO - more together perhaps - than in the 1981 concerts. Good sound with some hiss - accentuated during silent/quiet passages.
Tracks 1-8 from CDR trade in late 90s. Track 9 from tape trade about the same time (because the recording of "Mother Russia" on the CDR was cut short).

Notes from initial upload:

WIOQ-FM Rebroadcast

The recording suffers from poor radio reception from songs 10-14. The rest of the recording is fine. Don't know too much about these guys (and gal). Some decent prog rock with a tinge of, you guessed it, renaissance music. Female vocals are pretty. Some Christmas songs fer the season too. The Station ID states that we are listening to highlights of a radio broadcast, which would suggest this isn't the complete set, although probably pretty dern close.
