The station ids are removed, which makes for a sudden cut in at one point and Psycho Killer cuts immediately when the music ends.

The brief story for those who care is that when Dave put the band together, one of their earliest gigs was the "five star Night," a show at the Mann center where a bunch of acts played short sets (10,000 Maniacs headlined), with the understanding that everyone would be taped and a portion of the show aired. Dave thought he sucked ass that night, and reneged on the deal, but promised to give them a live show later. So we got this set (good deal!). If you add in the songs that were released legitimately, then you have around 2/3 to 3/4 of a typical show. BTW, the live version of Cool Water from this show is killer. The Psycho Killer here rivals the Heads version. This band was on fire at this point.

This is the master source, I haven´t seen this circulating in any form anywhere else. Qualitywise it presents a solid FM recording, with a very little FM static at the beginning. From that on it is quite perfect. The show is recorded straight into a VHS HiFi tape.

This was an outdoor show and four of the songs were TV broadcasted later at the same year by YLE.

Here, former Talking Heads frontman and world music visionary David Byrne teams up with indie chanteuse St. Vincent (Annie Clark). They are both pushing musical and theatrical boundaries and the result is a fine new album together and a visually striking stage show. And the new album sounds great live. We can't help ourselves for wishing for a few more Talking Heads songs, or to be taping this from a closer location, but we aren't complaining.

We had the back rail of the VIP section (which wasn't full) in front of us. That gave us a nice unobstructed view. And, even more importantly, all the audience chatter was behind us. Sweet. We would be remiss not to thank the nice people on either side of us who agreed to keep their rebel yells to themselves so that we could get a nice recording. This one is for you.

This is something I've watched a milion times and it's still one of my favorite concerts of all time. The source tape belongs to my friend ZIS who was lucky enough to capture the broadcast in 1994. (actualy he did it twice - end credits are from the second broadcast). I made a divx copy somewhere around 1999, and this one a few days ago. I must admit that I didn't expect it to sound so good, cause Zis and I watched the tape many times, but believe me, sound quality is EX+. Picture is a bit too bright but I didn't want to alter (upgrade?) it in any way (you can adjust brightness on your TV). For same reasons I didn't use any noise reductions on sound. The show took place in a concert hall for chamber music so it's very intimate and relaxed (no screaming, stage diving, head banging...) I'm not 100% sure about the date (it's definitely 1994.). I found on the internet that he played Zagreb that day but if anyone knows for sure which date it is let us all know.

He returned 3 times for encores! And he played 4 songs from Little Creatures album! And Paul, Mauro and Todd are playing! And we have a great DVD!
