transfer and authoring [grner1 circa 2000]: > Sony WV-DR7 > DV tape > Final Cut Pro (minor "nip and tuck" edits and chaptering) > Compressor > DVD Studio Pro (DVD authoring) > VIDEO_TS file set.
Audio bounced out to Pro Tools as 48K aiff to normalize and remove a few dropouts, then re-inserted into Final Cut Pro before the Compressor downsampling.
Video attributes:
NTSC 720x480 VBR 7.7 Mbps peak, 6.2 Mbps average data rate, 2-pass.
Audio attributes:
Dolby Digital 2/0 (L,R), 48 kHz sample rate, 448 kbps data rate.

Unfortunately this DVD is only 46 minutes of the 69 minute set and there are 2 time code imprints - including a rather large one over the center of the picture. But it's still a lot of fun to watch. Please check the screen grabs and audio sample to get an idea of the quality for yourself.
