These are vintage radio broadcast transcription discs (at times you can “hear” the vinyl which adds flavor). The sound quality is amazing.

Country Style USA was a radio program syndicated by the US Army Band and Recruiting Services and broadcast as a recruiting tool for them.
Produced by the U.S. Treasury Department in the 1940s and 1950s as a public service program, Guest Star features a different often top-name "guest star" (singer, actor, comedian) each week to promote the sales of savings bonds
previoulsy circulated with incorrect dates of 1958 & 1959. listening to talk n these and doing a bit of digging around determined to be earlier broadcast than originally circulated as
*13 . Get Rhythm " Our Latest Release on Sun" - recorded 1956
released as the B side of Walk The Line - April 2 1956
difficult to pin down an actual date on this - the website http://www.otrsite.com/logs/logc1075.htm starts at episode 39 broadcast 07-05-1956 - these would have been recorded at least a couple weeks before broadcast - it is very possible that a May - June 1956 recording date is correct here since that would be correct time in regards to a latest release
1959-06-28 Guest Star best guess per http://www.otrcat.com/guest-star-radio-p-1350.html

Notes by the taper:
Ok, so the set was cut for some strange reason. I wanted to hear Killer of giants but that one was gone, as was Into the void. At least the latter must have been a spur of the moment decision since Geezer seemed intent on playing one more song, but hastily left the stage when Ozzy announced I don´t wanna change the world, and Blasko didn´t seem prepared either so in the video you see him arriving on stage when the song is already under way. Strange this, since Ozzy was in a great mood, the weather was nice (though a bit cold) and the audience seemed pretty appreciative.
Nonetheless I did enjoy myself. It was a good gig, too short by anyone´s standards but the addition of Slash was a welcome bonus since I enjoyed his playing. Best songs of the evening were Fairies, Change and Mama since I had dreamed of seeing Ozzy with Zakk since I never had the chance all those years ago.
I had a golden circle-ticket so I was quite close to the stage. Lots of clapping and cheering and I did not have high hopes about the recording. As it turns out it´s not too shabby. A little tinny perhaps, but overall very listenable. Listen to the youtubeclip and decide for yourself.

Their first live show in thirteen years, played to an enthusiastic crowd at New York's finest venue. Bowery Ballroom only holds about 550 people, so the tickets sold out almost immediately, disappointing countless fans. The recording came out pretty well, despite the fact that I repeatedly had to dodge security who were watching for people using flash cameras. The sound was a little bass-heavy in the venue, but generally good, as it usually is at Bowery Ballroom. Rick McCollum seemed a bit rusty at several points during the show, but the rest of them sounded great. I'm sure they will strengthen as they make their way through Europe. Hard core fans will enjoy track 9, where Dulli mixes it up with some jerk in the crowd. Somehow he doesn't seem as menacing at age 47 as he did twenty years ago. Anyway, it's great to have them back!
Shameless plea to all of you -- Perhaps the best show i've ever seen out of well over 500 concerts was the Twilight Singers show at Irving Plaza on October 16, 2004. I don't think they took the stage before midnight and didn't leave until about 2:30 or so. I know at least two different people taped the show and no amount of cash or trades were enough to get either of them to produce a copy for anyone. Can anyone help? Has anyone ever seen that show circulate anywhere? Thanks.

Recorded from section D12, row 36. Like Oslo the year before this had wonderful sound and lightshow. Unfortunately there were no changes made in the setlist. The same setlist since October 1987. A funny thing is that we sat next to the mixing desk, which was HUGE and looked like a space command center at NASA

I recently found this disc again stored away with a few other unknown (unlabeled) items. Unfortunately I can't exactly remember how I got this. I believe a friend gave it to me years ago, before I had a computer and was able to download gems like this. I have to warn you though....this is of a rather poor quality. Every once in a while the screen turns black, there's a lot of shakin' goin' on, and well...I'd say it's a bit of a dodgy video! But...the atmosphere was simply AMAZING! David was having a very good time, chatty, cheerful, and the sound is fairly okay as well, so I had a great time watching this again, hope you will too!

Additional comments
Acceptable sound quality. This was one of the concerts that was partly used for the "On the night" recording. Walk of life from this concert ended up on the official live album. It's very clear that the start of the song was edited before releasing it. Anyway, it's a very nice concert with great atmosphere and it also includes the rarely played song I think I love you too much with a great intro. Also nice to hear is the 1992 version of Tunnel of love. Unfortunately, Brothers in arms and Solid rock are missing.

It’s been a long time since I was this wet and cold. Before Neil and The Horse took the stage, I was already shivering, my fingers were refusing to work and looked as though I’d just finished a swim from Melbourne to Tassie.
However, scoring a front rail position, a few metres to the left of centre stage made any physical discomforts fade from my mind. Already I knew that the ticket price was worth every cent and that this evening would leave me with memories I’d treasure for the rest of my life!
Tonight's performance of Like A Hurricane I would rank as the greatest single highlight of ANY concert that I have seen. By now the rain had made the decision to stay and really test the resolve of the band and the 10,000 saturated fans.
Poncho’s keyboard seemed to be stuck above the stage and couldn’t be lowered. Neil was standing in the middle of all this just pointing towards the stage roof, waiting. Finally the battered keyboard was lowered but by this stage hurricane-like winds were swirling, causing it to swing wildly around the stage like a crazy, uncontrollable pendulum. Poncho couldn’t steady it enough to begin playing the intro so Neil went it alone.
Then the rain was turned up to ”11”.
Poncho momentarily gave up, the stage was inundated with water and part of the roof gave way to the weight of the rain, tipping its load directly onto Neil!
At this point I expected that the show was going to be cancelled as the crew frantically tried to protect equipment from damage.
I suppose Neil has seen everything over the decades and he never once flinched or lost his composure. Some of his guitar work might sound unusual throughout Like A Hurricane as he was drying Old Black with his shirt as he played!
Amazing. The crowd went nuts with enthusiasm and revelled in this insane, yet wonderful situation.
An absolutely incredible moment from an unforgettable show. A band of true professionals and passionate performers. Thanks to Neil Young and Crazy Horse for coming to my home, Geelong!
