Notes by the taper
It was a brutally hot and humid day. Absolutely incredible heat. Brad Paisley opened up the show and did a phenomenal job. My only regret was not taping his set. Nice guest appearances by Carrie Underwood and Joe Walsh. Southern Comfort Zone went over very well and set the tone perfectly for the whole evening.

Regarding the recording, originally I had planned to not tape the show. Knowing how little variation there is in the setlist, and that my seats were 11th row on the floor in section E, I really wanted to enjoy this early Father's Day present to me and my dad. At the last minute I decided to record the gig and I am glad I did. This could very well be my last Rolling Stones concert, and if so, I am glad to have documented it. This was my 15th Stones show and I have had the opportunity to see them in large venues (Soldier Field) and small (Beacon). Although the setlist is stagnant, the performance was fantastic.

In terms of quality, our section was moving all over the place so the sound will change here n there throughout songs, but nothing so drastic as to ruin the experience. I only did some light EQing to get the mix to sound like it did that night. It was ABRASIVELY LOUD. LOVED IT. Guitars were pure fire coming out of that PA system! I can critique the house mix to death (Charlie's highhat should be louder, and that snare should crack more on the top end), but overall it was great.

The Lumix has great mics, it does sound terrific even on a good hi fi system. Instruments are very distinct and the recording accurately conveys the actual sound at the concert. Don't hesitate to play it loud

The only limitation of the Lumix is it can only record 15 min segments. So one has to stop the recording after each 1-2 songs.I chose to make 1 uncut file, so there are 3 seconds missing between some songs

Notes by the uploader
A friend got $85 seats for tonight and offered the extra to me. I scored them for Friday (thanks E) and wasn't planning on going to both shows. But with some changes in the little league schedule, I was free and said, why not. Figuring we'd be in nosebleeds, I was watching stubhub and TM like a hawk. Amazing how quickly $625 seats turn into $200 seats. But rather than drop another $150+ as a backup, we decided to take our chances. We pulled Club 115 in the lottery which is a good seat for watching the show, but not great for taping. So my friend split for her own self-upgrade, and I settled in and self-upgraded as it got closer to show time. I started in the last row of 109, and then during Gimme Shelter lost my spot, but found an even better one right in line with the main side stacks in 107 on the aisle. Had incredibly quiet neighbors throughout the night, and an incredibly loud and clear PA array in front of me. What more can you ask for. . .

I had bad vibes on the drive to the concert because the weather forecast called for 80 to 100 percent chance of rain during the show. Thankfully, we got not one drop of rain, and there was a nice breeze. I saw the Stones only once before in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1994, so I figured if I wanted to see them again now was the time. Mick was full of energy throughout the show, and the crowd couldn’t get enough. There were bum notes from Keith from time to time, but no one seemed to care. It’s clear that 2015 is not 1972, but they’re still getting it done. I was hoping for “Street Fighting Man,” but “She’s So Cold” was nice. Let me know what you think of the quality.

St Paul And The Broken Bones opened. They were not captured, as I wasnt going to risk losing any battery strength.

Recording notes: Overall , a very good recording. Minimal crowd noise/chatter. (The Normal for an outside event ) . Tixs in section 114. Lower Field Level . Straight back on Keith's side.
Kept mics placed on my glasses and in line with a stack at the end of the field . You will hear me clapping at times, and even hoot and holler .(not much)
When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do...and I was caught up in the moment. ( I am a Georgia Boy, it just comes out naturally at times )

Personal notes: I've seen the Stones 6 times now , and I rank this show up there with the 94 Voodoo Lounge show I saw. Its an honor to go to this venue as this is maybe the oldest,
on campus Football field in College Football. ( AKA Grant Field ). I saw an, IORR.Org sign, at the stadium but the party I was with was in a hurry to get in so my apologies
for not stopping and chatting. I did holler "IT'S ONLY ROCK N ROLL", and he replied "BUT I LIKE IT ". The party I was with said is that that that means ? I explained it as
we kept walking. It rained and stormed all day on our ride up to ATL, but luckily, Keith did his pre show "No Rain Stick" ritual before the show. It worked as the sun came back out
around 8:30 pm right before it went down .

Concert notes: Good Performance. No rarities like the Columbus, or Dallas shows , but "Some Girls" was cool to hear. Mick made several Atlanta, and Georgia references.
"You Gotta Move" was very cool when Keith sat down with a Slide and Acoustic. The Band had fun and it parlayed into the crowd.
Even when they made a few intro mistakes and stumbled through "Some Girls", they laughed it off. Mick compliments the GA crowd at the end of "Miss You" .
