DVD Authoring using TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring.
Source Video was analyzed via GSpot and I have included a screen shot of the original video. The specifications of this new DVD file set are listed above and were aquired from the project specifications following the rendering (it took 20 hours to render and using the authoring software to create a Master DVD took an hour and a half (Burned at 1x)
All totaled there was a lot of time invested in doing this project, I believe it is mostly due to my amatuer DVD authoring skills and the desire to provide the best possible produce.
The art I got via a dealer offering this for sale at iOffer.com for $30. Other searches revealed that Cologne Shark has also released a DVD-Video of this broadcast, although I have not found his release to compare. Both cologne Shark and the iOffer versions included the same artwork. Not being savvy in the generation of art, I just included that DVD cover. There are some parts which are rough around the edges, but for first attempt at DVD authoring, I am satisfied enough to seed this for public consumption and to limit the sales of this via the dealer on iOffer.
I obtained a dvd of this with the incredible audio, but the audio was mono. Recently I aquired an Audio fileset, which was 16/44.1 stereo. I converted the audio to conform with DVD standards and at the same time encoded one audio option to be Dolby Digital Stereo, To take it a bit further I also added an audio source which was encoded in DTS 5.1 Surround. If you click any part of the top page, you should get a window to open and from there you can select from AC3, Dolby Digital Stereo and DTS 5.1 Surround. The Default is Dolby Digital, I believe.
This was my first attempt to author a DVD. I'm a fan of Lucinda Williams and wanted (at least for myself) a DVD with upgraded audio and menus (Easier navigation) and a more apt top menu, the original menus were stock art and were somewhat Clunky to navigate. Also, the original DVD did not have an info file, art or checksums. So I produced these required files.
