A hot and tiring day in Istanbul! My girlfriend joined me in the last minute, so I didn't bore on the line of waiting. Our tickets were from the front row, but I'm really regretting it! We waited for 2.5 hours for the gates to open. In 16:15, we were in the stadium, and I was in the third row from the barrier. My view was perfect! After the amazing performances from Voodoo Six and Anthrax, we were pretty much tired because of the terrible heat and sunshine. And the place we stood was getting crowded in every minute, so the privilages for breathing had got taken from our hands and we couldn't eat or drink anything. In 20:45, we heard the first notes of Doctor Doctor, and the crowd became restless! When Maiden hit the stage, it was impossible to hear them because of the singing and shouting crowd! I have never experienced a crowd like this, it was magnificent! After 2 Minutes to Midnight, my girlfriend was about to faint from the heat, as I was going to too. We literally haven't got any oxigen left and we couldn't breathe. So we had to move backwards from the front. But all the front row tickets were sold out, and it was nearly impossible to find a desolated place with a good spot. Before Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Bruce Dickinson talked about the other artists that were going to give concerts in Istanbul, but cancelled them because of the events started in 31st May, between the Gezi Park protestors and the police. And Bruce said they are not fucking afraid of these events and of Istanbul. He said Iron fucking Maiden my friends! Crowd surely loved it! We moved to the very right till the middle of Afraid to Shoot Strangers. After that, I taped from the right side till the end of the performance. Overall, it was a great night and a fantastic performance from Iron Maiden, after the terrible performance in 2011, that was a relief! But I think I'm getting old, so I should prefer buying tickets from the seated places from now on
