This is from a silver cd titled "Give 'Em Enough Dope", on Musichien, no number. I got the disc from a friend of mine who ordered it for me from the Phillipines in the late nineties- glad those days are gone! The wav files were made with Roxio Easy Media 8, and flac with Flac Frontend.

The quality on the Tokyo material (tracks 01 - 07) gets an A-. I'm pretty sure this would be from the video source, but my video sounds nowhere near this good. That being said, this is a very uninspired bit of live Clash - not awful, but not up to par. The quality on the May 1984 material gets an A- as well. These tracks are from 3 different vinyl ep's, and I imagine this would've sounded better with a nicer cartridge on the turntable, but these post-Mick Jones recordings are pretty much dynamite. The new songs are much cooler live than on Cut The Crap.

In February 1967, Jackson Browne stepped into the studio to make some demos of his songs for Nina Music. The idea was to showcase Jackson's songs to various artists on the Elektra roster.
For some reason, Nina Music pressed thirty of Jackson's songs -- along with ten of Steven Noonan's songs -- onto two LPs. Actually only about 2/3 of the songs were from the 1967 recording session at Jaycino Studio in New York. The rest were from a Columbia session from the prior year.)

The "Nina Demo" has become somewhat legendary and infamous among Jackson's fans as his first "unreleased" album, but it never was intended to be an album release (much less an album); it was merely Jackson Browne and his guitar making some 2-track tapes in his role as a staff writer for Nina Music.

This is from the text file only. The music here is well documented, it took me a few minutes to realize that the source was actually vinyl as opposed to acetate, great transfer, bop reduction, etc... Very warm and anaolg sounding. 

I took a few tracks and watched the SG's for a few minutes and they are very interesting, seemingly perfect, low, but I prefer to amplify my music using a separate(HiFi) component anyway.

I'd have to say that this is close to the acetate and not bad. Not an A by our standards, but in the upper B level quality. Very low noise, flat response, very transparent, stereo. This is great when you are in the perfect mood ;)

The Smiths recorded demos at Decibel Studios and Drone Studios in 1982, then signed to Rough Trade and recorded a couple of singles in Strawberry Studios. For the first album, Rough Trade hired Troy Tate to produce and recorded the album in Elephant Studios. Despite completing the album the band weren't happy with the sound and re-recorded the whole album again in London with John Porter behind the desk. 

A few official tracks of that first Troy Tate album have been released (specifically Pretty Girls Make Graves and Jeane), but most hasn't. On bootlegs, various mixes of these sessions have been released. It's never been clear what was due to be officially released. Stephane explains it much better than I could on PassionsJustLikeMine [1]. 

Soundsville Paul found an old cassette that he recorded from the masters a long time ago. It's a big improvement in sound quality and includes a couple of different versions. Originally seeded here [2] then a couple of tracks fixed here [3]. I've merged both torrents and removed Pretty Girls, since it's an official release.

This was Patti's last show before retreating.

Audience is really loud, some occasional drops just between some songs. Sound quality is really various, good average, sometimes better, sometimes worst.

*in those songs 1 channel was drammatically lower, so i had to balance it a lot....for that reason, you get more hiss on the original lower channel. This show was recorded from the middle of the audience. Some occasionally distortion and some crowd chat occurs sometimes. 1 of the 2 C-90 tapes was broken, so i had to restore it. This audience recording is no bad at all, it  is really important from an historical point of view...i made no cuts, so you get the show in his enterity.....the set list is amazing and the performance is wild....since this show was recorded from many people, it is circulating in many forms, from many tape's generations and in different sound quality.....i never found a better recording of this show, some are equal to this.....

JEMS master recording. This show features a few firsts, it is the first of two nights they played the Passiac Theater, the first show of the 79 tour played in the US and the first show in the US to feature Kenney Jones on drums. Also of note My Generation features a Pete Townshend improvisation called Blue, Black, White and Magic Bus features another Pete Townshend improvisation called London Blues.

The first of a great string of shows in Passaic, New Jersey and New York City--the Who's first American dates with Kenny Jones on drums.

It was great to see the band back after Keith's death and they play these shows as if they had something to prove! Pete in particular was (as a Dr. Billy says clearly on the tape) "burning" and "on fire." This first of two Capitol Theater shows served as a great warm-up for the following five nights at Madison Square Garden.

This part of the band's career has not gotten the attention it deserves but the playing here is as fresh and to some degree experimental (note the improvisations above) as the band would ever be on stage. While we all maintain a passion for '76, the truth is the sets didn't vary much and relied heavily familiar material (e.g. Tommy, due in part to the release of the film).1979 brought back material from Quadrophenia and unplayed Who Are You songs like "Sister Disco and "Trick of the Light," the latter, at these '79 shows, featured John on eight-string bass and Pete on four-string bass.

The '79 tour also marked a second phase for JEMS in terms of recording the Who even more prolifically than we had before, as J began to follow the band around in earnest. More to come.
