Excellent recording from the late Clash period, unfortunately incomplete. But what's available is definetely worth a listen. They were indeed a different band from the one that first started in the mid-70's. Less wild but for sure more listenable. The audience seemed to appreciate the gig. Joe Strummer is very talkative and at one point even asked the support of the audience to have a few sentences translated into italian.
Some sources list this show as being recorded at the indoor Palasport, which is very unlikely since the recording sounds like being recorded outdoor, and Joe mentions about bookstores in the venue which makes me thinking that the show took place at the annual Festa de l'Unità in some open door ground, as it was the case for most of those festivals.
