Possibly the BEST show of the series so far. What a great band the Quicksilvers were! And what a great period of creativity that was in the bay area! This comes from the final round of shows for the closing of the Fillmore West in San Francisco. Actually this is the evening before last, when Santana closed the series.
Absolutely amazing mega-show, broadcasted in its glory by KSAM-FM in great stereo, something not common those days as most of the broadcasts were still in mono. The band is on fire here.
The recording shows its age but it is highly listenable. From what I hear it should not be very far from the master. The DJ is not obstructive at all, but when he speaks it is to advertise the sponsor of the evening, the spectacular "Brass Boots" store, which you could find in Berkeley, San Francisco and Sausalito. The guy really makes his best to suggest you should have a try to their boots, "made with the best leather, designed by them, that you cannot find elsewhere"
