Emerson, Lake - 2010-04-10 - New Bedford, MA (AUD/FLAC)

(Audience FLAC)

rev a2

Zeiterion Theatre, New Bedford, MA

This package is substantially equivalent to the original version, without remastering, but with some modifications:

1) ** "Tarkus" is splitted in seven tracks.
Lineage: Tarkus: Flac> (NCH Switch)> Wave> (Split with Wavelab)> Flac

2) *** "The court of the crimson king" is added at the end of the first set.
This song is interpreted by Carl Palmer during the tour of “Asia” in 2007 and chosen among the best recordings:
For New Bedford: March 5, 2007 in Osaka, recorded by "Garfield"
For Lynn: June 23, 2007 in Atlantic City, recorded by "TT"

For those who like to burn to CD, there is a cover, in slim format.
Thank to the author, "feel free to remaster and upload, as always intended, please do not distribute in lossy form. "
you can find some comments in the end of the document

Other than some slight tweaking of levels, this is the raw recording. I feel it needs some EQ'ing, but will leave that to someone else

show notes:
this was the 4th gig of the Keith Emerson & Greg Lake tour of the United States. Four of the early gigs were postponed, so this should have been the 8th gig; as for the performanceÉ. well, you can judge for yourself. We all know of Emerson's struggles with neural/motor problems in his right hand (4th & 5th fingers curl up, and he often just uses the other three fingers). On the other hand, Greg Lake sounded *unbelievably good* compared to all of the shows from the 1990's. His voice is deeper, yes, but the range is pretty good and his tone is full and focused. I'll let others post their comments about this and other shows.
