Notes:
This was Simon & Garfunkel's last show before breaking up and it's a very unusual one. They didn't play many shows in 1970 to support the huge "Bridge Over Troubled Water" album but the album didn't need any help. The only 1970 shows that I'm aware of from S&G were two Forest Hills shows, two Royal Albert Hall shows in London, one show in Paris, one in Copenhagen and one in Amsterdam. Snippets from one of the RAH shows have circulated; the Paris show circulates as a soundboard and the Amsterdam show was broadcast on FM. There's a decent sounding audience tape of the Copenhagen show circulating as well. The Forest Hills shows were a homecoming for S&G; the two grew up in the Kew Gardens neighborhood of Forest Hills in the borough of Queens. As far as I know, no tapes of the first Forest Hills show (on July 17, 1970) are in circulation. This show has an unusual number of covers; the only downside is that the tape ran out in the middle of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." But at least he got the crowd chanting "we want the Frisbee."
