NOTES:
Like the Pelham, AL 1986 tour opener I shared recently, this one's from Buren Fowler (R.I.P.). Fowler was the band’s guitar tech and second guitarist for live performances 1986-1987. He gave a blank 90-minute tape to the FOH sound guy and asked him to record as much of the show as would fit. Later, Buren gave it (or possibly a copy) to his friend T. Patton Biddle (Pat the Wiz) for safe keeping. Pat, the ace sound tech who also recorded many of the band’s shows in and around Athens, GA in the 1980s, digitized the tape at some point and kindly shared it with me. Although Pat did not recall if this was transferred from the master or a safety copy, it sounds very low generation to my ears.

This marks the end of the R.E.M. soundboard goodies I have to share, and I saved my favorite for the finale in my little mini flood. I'm working on obtaining one or two more 1987 concert-length soundboards to share. If I'm successful, I will be back.
