Comments:
After listening to my recent Steven Wilson recordings, I had the urge to go back to some of my older Porcupine Tree recordings. This one is really fantastic. It might still be the best recording I've made, even over 10 years later (and I've made a lot of recordings in that time). I was still using Mini Disc back then, and this is the first time I actually used a battery box. The results were fantastic, but it wasn't just the battery box! The venue is the finest acoustical theater I've visited, and this was recorded from the sweet spot. You're not allowed to bring drinks into the theater itself, so with a lot less drunk people, there's also no obnoxious crowd noise either. It all made for a magical evening, and a fantastic recording.

These are the original files I shared elsewhere years ago. The only change is some alternate artwork that I added along with the original (not so good) art I made. I was able to find some actual photos from this show on the net a few years back, but they are lower resolution than what I normally use for artwork. If I recall correctly, there was very little tweaking done to this show...I wish all of my recordings would work out that easily. This hasn't been up on a torrent site in years, so hopefully some new fans will get a chance to listen to this. One thing that I noticed was Steven talked a lot less between songs in those days. He still found the time to complain about playing in front of a seated audience!

I have some other older PT shows that I can share. None will sound as nice as this, and some were done prior to my using a battery box, but a couple of those still sound worthwhile. I also recorded the next night in Hartford, which was more of a club type atmosphere. There hasn't been too many comments on my SW posts, so let me know if you want me to share the other shows.
