Third show into the Communiqué Tour and a mere three days before their Rockpalast show. I have never seen this one circulating so I thought it would be a good addition to the Vintage Series. How can we possibly talk about the 70's / 80's without mentioning The Dire Straits? The first two tours in the 70's were stunning, pure, raw, classy. That was also the last tour featuring David Knopfler. That was still a time where the band was playing small venues. After that, the band begun to be huge in the 80's and lost a bit of momentum (IMO). When I saw them on the last tour in 1992, the magic seemed to be gone.
In this show they played 5 (!) encores, included the rarely played Angel of Mercy.
Soundwise this is ok but not great. Music comes out clear although a bit boomy. I would rate 8 out of 10.
