This was a free concert given by the band as promised by Sammy at the Monsters Of Rock show in 1988. After most of the Monsters show Sammy's voice was shot. Not the first time it had happened in Dallas... So after the main set closer "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" is done, instead of taking a bow and heading back stage before coming back out for an encore, the band stays on stage and Sammy thanks the crowd for putting up with his voice. Then he tells them that the band will come back and play a free concert in Dallas. Doesn't know how or when, but the band will do it to make up for his vocals. Of course the crowd loves the idea... Fast forward to Dec 4th, 1991. The band set up the concert using a bogus name, probably for crowd control reasons, then showed up to play live, and for free, at the West End Market in Dallas. The concert was captured on film and a soundboard recording was made of the performance. While it has yet to be released professionally, it has circulated among collectors for many years. The sound suffers from an extreme lack of bass (guitar and drum - and several other oddities. At times it almost sounded like noise reduction was used. There are also occasional pops from the electrical system as well a fairly annoying hum. I was able to remove the hum and also rework the sound to give it some much needed bottom end. I also adjusted some of the track splits as they did not all line up quite where they should. This show has a much more rounded out sound now and is a quite enjoyable listen.
