Notes:
Took my 71 year old friend (lawyer and guitar player) to this show as a surprise. Truth is, I picked up tickets the day before and ended up with absolutely great seats at non-inflated prices which is rare for Ticketmaster. My friend saw Alison Krauss in the early 1990's in Ann Arbor, MI @ The Ark when she was still quite young and he had been a fan of her work since (and, obviously a massive fan of Robert Plant). If anything, it was almost too hot this evening but it did not rain so it was lovely all around. Speaking of hot, the band was smoking hot if not literally on fire! Krauss was perfect and Plant was just as perfect but the band, wow, they were beyond perfect. I put some time into this mix of DPA 4061 + Alison Krauss IEM. There are some drops on the RF source but it's not terrible. This was the second time I was fortunate enough to be able to tape Plant/Krauss; could be the last. First time was 2008 @ the Fox Theatre in Detroit, MI (available on DIME as of 1/2025) and what's wild is the two shows I was able to capture were literally 17 years and 3 days apart (i.e.: 2008 was June 17, 2024 was June 14).
