notes
This one was recorded by my good self from the 3rd row. I'm not terribly proud of the recording and it's only really worth a listen if you really want everything from Sting. I'd give this a C because it's a bit distant and muddy, it's mono and the recorder clearly has some kind of level compression which annoys at times. It probably didn't help that I stuffed the recorded into my coat on the seat behind me to avoid it being spotted.
But it's straight from the master and it captures the show well enough for me remember how much I enjoyed it it...right from the moment when Sting burst onto stage in bright spotlights to 'Shadows' all the way through to the ending with Message in a Bottle. I loved the Dream of the Blue Turtles concerts and for this series of shows were Sting at his solo best.
