I did not attend or tape this show so this will be relatively short and sweet. I acquired these tapes almost 20 years ago at a record show at Serb Hall in Milwaukee, WI. I bought them from some assclown from Minneapolis who refused to give me a deal on them after I had already bought some other shit from him ; he used the old "They're not my tapes and I'm selling them for somebody else" ploy and I paid about $15 US. He would occasionally dye his hair a different color to confound the authorities. If you the dealer are reading this, fuck you. He claimed that the tapes were 2nd gen. Who knows ? They DO sound really good however so he may have been telling the truth. This is a really good show so I thought that I'd up it for the enjoyment of all the Dime GNR fanatics. I'm not sure if this has been on Dime before (the videotape of this show is still alive) and I've been here for 7 years BION so here goes. No speed problems/distortion. There's a small amount of hiss during the quiet parts and there sure aren't many of those !! I edited out lengthy ilences and faint audience screaming so you wouldn't have to sit through that. All music and stage banter obviously was left intact. All Axlspeak is present in its obnoxious glory ; that guy is really repulsive for this concert. If you want an interesting diversion and you think that you can believe what you read on the Internet, you should Google "W. Axl Rose" (omit the quotes) and read the Wikipedia article about his life. He was actually a budding criminal/thug before he luckily got famous. He moved to LA in the early '80s after the Lafayette, IN police basically told him to leave town or get charged with being a habitual criminal. Give him the key to the city !!! There is a ton of other jolly info so have a good read ! Well, that's all that I have to discuss so let's get this show on the golden road to spiritual enlightenment......
Thank you for sharing. Here's my opinion, It sounds higher than 2nd gen. like 4th or 5th maybe. There's constant hiss throughout. Perhaps high-speed dubbing was done more than a few times before you got it. It's a good show however, there's better sounding shows performance and quality wise out there from this eraGnR.
