Sons & Fascination tour. Opened for New Order. The taper recalls Jim Kerr tripping on acid, seemingly reacting to things on stage that were not actually there. The performance blew New Order away.
The Panasonic recorder was occasionally switched off between songs, and there are a few jarring starts. There are three spots where maybe the recorder was bumped or a button was partly pressed, and the audio hiccups. These have been improved somewhat but remain as small warts. Because of the recording gear, the audio is compressed and unnaturally loud given the levels. Raising the gain any further makes the audio sound forced, so please use your volume knob instead.
