Less than two weeks after the end of his South African tour Sting returned to this country to perform a benefit show at a stadium in Johannesburg. The drummer of The Tananas, Ian Herman from Johannesburg, who played support during the shows a few weeks earlier, filled in for Vinnie during this show.
Before Heavy Cloud No Rain: "Hello Johannesburg. It's nice to be here at last. How are you? Me too".
"It's not a bad place Johannesburg. Is it? This song is called Seven Days".
After Fragile: "Johannesburg, we had a lovely time tonight. Thanks for listening. Thanks for coming. Have a great day. God bless. We'll see you again. Goodnight".
Directly after the show Sting flew to London, because he was scheduled to perform a benefit show with Elton John in London the next day.
