In 1973, Santana and McLaughlin had both become disciples of spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy, this spiritual journey affected both of their musical output and they teamed up to release "Love Devotion Surrender". Though the release was met with mixed reviews at the time there was no denying it generated blistering guitar work especially on the brief tour that followed. The album and shows were not for the casual listener with songs stretching to 30 minutes.
That brings to the next and last upgrade in our series, the opening night of the tour and apparently the only playing of "Love, Devotion & Surrender", Saratoga Springs.
Our source is from a brand new source and is the from the same source as the Chicago and Berkeley releases, though it's not as dramatic an upgrade as the previous releases, it has the same wide frequency field as the previous releases and is definitely from a VERY low gen tape transfer based on the source of these shows, it should be considered a solid upgrade.
