Howard Devoto - 1983-08-07 - London, England, UK (AUD/FLAC)

(Audience FLAC)

Howard Devoto
The Lyceum
London, England
August 7, 1983

Source:Audience
Taper:unknown
transferred from cassette tape to cd by me
Quality: tape warbles at the beginning, a bit uneven and hissy, maybe a 5 or 6 out of 10.
Also at the end of this tape was a little bit of a Cozy Powell Whitesnake gig. That is not on here.

Lineage
cassette tape>Phillips stand alone>EAC>Audacity to split tracks>TLH>you

Side One of tape:
01. Howard spoken word intro
02. Out of Shape With Me
03. Waiting on a Train
04. Topless
05. Seeing is Believing
06. Cold Imagination
07. I Admire You
08. Permafrost (Magazine)
09. Jerky Versions of the Dream
010.Song From Under the Floorboard (Magazine)

Side Two of tape
011. Rainy Season
012. About the Weather (Magazine)
013. Band Introductions
014. Taking Over Heaven
015. Parade (Magazine)

I was at this gig and bought a cassette tape of the show sometime later in the Portabello Road Flea Market. This gig was 31 years ago and some of my memory doesn't match the tape. Could be me or who knows. Things like I always thought he played two nights at the Lyceum and not one. I thought the back up singer was Laura Teresa who sang back up on some Magazine bits and on Jerky Versions. Also I totally forgot the opening band was the Smiths and SPK. I know you can find a few Magazine shows but solo Hoard shows I think are not around if at all. I could be wrong though I am a complete beginner at Audacity so don't rake me over the coals. I may attempt a remaster of this show as it's Howard.

    1. Yeah, We spent many good times with Howard and Laura in the early 80's, I remember first meeting Laura at The Blitz, she was a great and talented creative person and studied at St. Martin school of art.
What ever happened to Laura Theresa? Does anyone know.
