Comments:
Excellent overall recording quality, very little tape hiss, runs a bit slow. EC does the band introductions in "Get Ready" and unlike many shows from the 1974 tour, where the band introductions are a long, drawn out affair, EC is short and to the point. EC turns 'Matchbox' into a Carl Perkins medley of sorts, tossing in a verse of "Boppin' the Blues". Audio quality takes a real dive with the beginning of "Layla", which is incomplete. Sounds like some problem with the analog source, as there are spots where the recording returns to its previous quality. It continues like that through the end of "Tell the Truth", getting back on track before the beginning of "Blues Power". Finally, the band does a nice segue from Steady Rollin' Man into Crossroads. Missing the encore of "Little Queenie". Two shows performed on this date, unknown which show this is. This is a "good news, bad news" sort of situation, because while this recording does have a bit better sound quality than "San Francisco 1974" (ARMS) it is incomplete.
As this is Daly City, a logical guess as to the venue would be the Cow Palace.
