No, that isn't George Carlin playing drums, it's Lars Ulrich from Metallica!
RispondiEliminaSo, this picture really gave me the last laugh, because of the time many years ago, when he came to my work and I mentioned I was a bass player and he just looked at me blankly, I may have been paranoid but I swear he was looking at my slightly receding hairline... Now my hair is much thicker and while he's getting super old-looking I still get people thinking I'm 25! hahaha
Lars Carlin! George Ulrich! - He also spent the whole time during a show in our bathroom at the movie theatre in Mill Valley, were I worked in the 90's (probably doing herion - that guy had the smallest pupils I've ever seen) - Unfortunately living in Marin I would run into these guys a lot (James, Lars) Lars was like everywhere I went for awhile (even on the plane in 1st class from John Wayne Airport) - I had a 3rd class ticket but they jumped me to first class, because they were full - the late-bird got the worm that time baby. Saw him and his hot (now ex) wife at Safeway in Strawberry, it was like I couldn't get away from the guy. Plus he's such a dick, I once heard quoted in an interview saying 'I have so much money I don't know what to do with it' - help others? No. Help animals? No. Buy paintings. Yes! I mean he could be supporting my band, instead of thinking how great he is... because now he's just old and hasn't made a good album since Cliff died - I would say 1988 but 'Justice' has such terrible production... great songs tho on 'Justice' and great tour... lame people...
