This is the sbd from the first day of the Serious Moonlight Tour Rehearsal from 1983.

The sound quality was not persistent as the first 2 tracks, the start of heroes and the last track are of much lower quality (quite muffled) than the rest. It seems as if the tape deck (either during the original transfer or at a later transfer) had some problems with the recording and then during the first half of Heroes the tape suddenly is on the right track again.

What I did is lifting the treble (from 1 kHz to 16 kHz) for the "muffled" tracks. As a sort of negative side-effect there is now more "white noise" but I found this as the minor problem.

Also there was a ver uneven sound level between right and left channel troughout the show which I corrected as far as possible.

Description:

This rehearsal is the day before the one that commonly circulates, so this dates April 26, 1983. It differs from the other session (with the 'Hey Ricky' version being the definitive one) because the banter is different before Look Back In Anger. Prior to the 27th surfacing, this was the definitive 1983 rehearsal tape, and yes, it does include Stevie Ray Vaughan. Although the quality is slightly less than the 27th, this is still a soundboard, with very respectable sound. As a historical monument, it is no less significant. Enjoy!!
