Venue is the brand new Barclays Center which just opened last month, a 19,000 capacity arena which hosts the Brooklyn Nets. I believe Rush is only the third musical act to play there, after the opening concerts (eight) by Jay-Z and two performances earlier this month by Barbra Streisand. I had a perfect spot for recording audio. Too bad I left my good mics in the car for various reasons however I'm not crying over the recording I made. Sounds much better in my opinion than my Philly which was done from the rafters. Added bonus of very few talkers.

The Ocean shows march on. This one, courtesy of Relayerman, from Memphis contains all kinds of extras. Sound is good and the performance is strong. I don't remember where or when I got this, but this is the original fileset. Thanks to the taper and Relayerman, and all those who share the music of the Topographic Oceans. We love when we play!
This is from the master tapes, converted to CD and 'remastered' (I use the term loosely). Its not a perfect show, but does include 20 minutes of pre-show Yes ambient sounds and announcements, the complete show, the post-show music, and the back-stage meeting with Rick and Eddy Offord (approx 160 minutes). If you listen real hard at the tail end you can hear Chris explain to someone what Khatru means. Forgotten Yesterdays website lists Starship Trooper as part of the encore, but that is not true. It was not played at this show.
Keep in mind its a 30-year old show and is not perfect, but its a good B show. There is some slight distortion here and there as well as the band was quite loud. I did not attend/tape this show, but my friend did who does not trade. In fact most of the Memphis Yes shows floating about are his recordings (eg. Memphis 75 & 77).
During the first part of the show the fire marshall had kept the lights on. You will get this as you listen to the show. The crowd is a little boisterous because of it. Also, the Cook Convention center is like an old airplane hangar. Jon Anderson has some comments about it as well.

This is the first digital transfer of my master tape.
It's taken about 3 weeks to get this one properly transferred. There were some major issues at the start of taping this show that lasted through the first 2 songs or so that I have worked very hard to correct.
The tape jammed so I missed the first minute or so of the first song.
When I pulled the tape for transfer I discovered on playback some major wow and flutter throughout the first song and minor wow and flutter throughout the second song.
I did 2 separate transfers of the master tape, one using the deck I used to originally record the show which gave me the foundation and took care of any issues after the first song with the exception of Barracuda sounding a little off.
Second transfer was done using the Nak as I discovered that I could azimuth adjust and correct the bad sections of the tape with a lot of detailed work. So, I've spent a number of late nights playing back the first transfer to identify the bad segments and correcting those parts using the Nak to make manual adjustments to the master tape, then splicing those parts into the foundation tape to "rebuild" the fist song. Barracuda was also re-transferred using the Nak and spliced into the first transfer.
After it was completed I had spliced in 22 separate snippets to rebuild the song ranging from about 1.5 seconds to 44 seconds.
If originally the song was about 25% listenable I'd say now it is 95% listenable. It's not perfect as there is still a few small areas that neither deck would correct but they are very minor especially compared to where it was originally.
No problems in the rest of the show besides a small splice at the end of I Want You So Bad.

Taper's Comments: The levels are a bit low and with the festive gala crowd, there's a fair amount of background chatter. A remaster would be welcomed by me if someone wants to try to fix this. As is, however, it's very listenable. I have most of the show on HD video and will upload a video torrent soon.

Notes:
This was Simon & Garfunkel's last show before breaking up and it's a very unusual one. They didn't play many shows in 1970 to support the huge "Bridge Over Troubled Water" album but the album didn't need any help. The only 1970 shows that I'm aware of from S&G were two Forest Hills shows, two Royal Albert Hall shows in London, one show in Paris, one in Copenhagen and one in Amsterdam. Snippets from one of the RAH shows have circulated; the Paris show circulates as a soundboard and the Amsterdam show was broadcast on FM. There's a decent sounding audience tape of the Copenhagen show circulating as well. The Forest Hills shows were a homecoming for S&G; the two grew up in the Kew Gardens neighborhood of Forest Hills in the borough of Queens. As far as I know, no tapes of the first Forest Hills show (on July 17, 1970) are in circulation. This show has an unusual number of covers; the only downside is that the tape ran out in the middle of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." But at least he got the crowd chanting "we want the Frisbee."

Notes:
I wasn't sure what to expect with this show, but they blew me away. Roger was in fine form for his age, certainly better than the 2008 show here. Normally when bands play whole albums, the show drags a little. Fortunately, that was not the case here. We were treated to a show that spanned over two hours and it was worth every penny.

Here are some tracks which I´ve collected over the years. Some pretty cool demos in the beginning, but the main part are the home recordings. It´s just Tommy and a guitar from 11-22, and at times it really feels like he´s just sitting right next to you, doodling on. Some of the song structures are easily recognizable, and I have added titles where applicable even though they don´t always sound exactly like they would when recorded with bands.

Regarding the recording, this is an IEM-only matrix mix. Three feeds (Vocals + Guitar + Bass). They put some heavy noise gating on the vocal channels, so when they're not playing you get just about no crowd noise. So in between the stage breaks, there was music playing to the crowd...but it doesn't come through on this recording. They are fans of the click track but its not too bad overall. There is some occasional static and fuzz. I did as much as I could to filter it out but some of it is gonna stay in there unfortunately.

My first ever concert was Aerosmith 22 years ago in the Pump tour. Only decided last week to go along to the show, hence not the greatest taping location up in section 307, even moved back a few rows to have a little more room rather than being wedged into my seat in a full row. Loved the show, lots of fun although the 8 minute drum solo gets a little boring.

Nice one from the Tales tour. It sounds pretty nice to my ears. I havent listened to any Tales tracks for some 10 years so it was good to listen to this show. I pretty much prefer this from the following Relayer tour where the band was getting too complex and slightly unlisteneable. The setlist was organised in a kind of "Floyd way": the last album in its entirety, the new record and one track from the past. In some shows the band would play a second encore (Yours Is No Disgrace) but here it was not the case. This is the second night in Detroit.

Relayermans Notes............
I got this show in a tape trade in the early '80s and is not all that good. It is, however, an early UK tour show and Trevor's voice is not all that bad in this one. There are a couple of tiny breaks in songs, but does not detract from the overall performance. I would guess that the casual Yes listener would bypass this show. I have tweaked it as best as possible. It appears that when the taper taped it the levels were set a little too high as there is some distortion here and there. I would also guess this is at least a 2nd gen recording. The audience appears a little rowdy. At one point during Man In A White Car someone clearly yells out,"Bring back Wakeman!". And a few Shouts of "Jon Anderson" which is like paying to watch some Ice Skaters, then tripping them up as they perform!
Clever Trevors Notes...........
This was the second worse condition Drama show i've heard, half of what would be heard was Tape Hiss, it was rated a C quality it is now a B-
The Hiss Level was brought down to -57.4 db level, anything more would have taken any high frequencies away. The Reduce Hiss Level was brought down to -26.4 db and De Clicker was used. I also had a plate of chips while doing this. A couple of cuts in Go Through This and We Can Fly From Here which are left as they are. It isn't perfect, but then again what is? Clever Trevor Feb. 2009.

This was my first Bob show in some time - since the Wang Theatre run in Boston in 2009. I read the Toronto reviews and didn't quite know what to expect, other than the fact that the set list for Montreal wouldn't be as good as Toronto. There were a lot of negative reviews of the Toronto show, some from long time Dylan fans that said in general that Bob's voice was too loud in the mix (it can never be loud enough for me) and also that his piano was so loud that it drowned out the rest of the band.
So away we went to the Bell Centre, not quite knowing what to expect. I'll admit that hearing Bob's piano live was a bit of a shocker; it definitely was louder than any other instrument and it seemed that at times he was pounding it with little regard for a melody. The funny thing is that the more I listen to the recording the more it grows on me. I will say that Charlie Sexton was very subdued and underused. It's Stu Kimball doing the lead (slightly behind) on Tweedle and he took over the lead on at least one other song as well, despite Bob saying he's on rhythm during the intros.
All in all I'd go see Bob again any time, even though the set lists don't vary nearly as much as they used to. It's still a privilege to watch the way he moves and the grimaces that come out of him. They're unique and delightful.

Recording Notes:
This is a crew ear monitor feed consisting of mainly guitar, drums, and all of the pre-recorded effects used during the show. Unfortunately Manson's vocals are low in the mix
but the nice stereo sound makes up for it a little IMO. I also filmed this show in HD in addition to recording it with microphones. The DVD and mic source will be torrented
eventually so please be patient.
I left the 20 minutes of the security break in for completists' sake.
Taper's Notes:
I have had I don't know how many iem "tapers" fish me for information since I have started posting some of my recordings this past summer. A few of these I feel are good tapers/traders but a vast majority seem to play "dumb" in order to get as much information for their personal gain
without sharing any of their recordings like I do via torrents. As a taper for over a decade now, I have no interest whatsoever in playing "trader games" such as hoarding or taunting which is rampant in a lot of the iem taping world. All of the best iem tapers keep quiet. ;-) As of right now I will stop responding to any PM's regarding iem taping from Dime members until I see them start sharing some of their own recordings. There are a few members which do share their sources and I applaud them for that, but a vast majority of iem tapers (you know who you are) never share a thing.
That is my challenge to my fellow iem tapers...we shall see how many accept.
