In the spring of 1961 RAI television, through the the news special "Incontri" periodically aired on channel 2, presents one of the first examples of a program based on the television interview method. 

Today we are broadcasting the magnificent 1964 episode, curated by Salvatore Biamonte, featuring the great jazzman Duke Ellington. The host is Lilian Terry, who opens the program and introduces the various performances of Ellington and his ensemble: "C-Jam Blues", "On the sunny side of the street", "Caravan", "I'"ve got it bad", "Sophisticated lady" and many others.
