Recording Notes
This was a great night. Met up with two other tapers (you know who you are) so expect to see other recordings from this show - and those guys were on the floor in the thick of it...had a couple of beers and compared noteson equipment / stealth tactics and security avoidance and then made our way to the show.
Good seats. But Christ it was loud!! I've been to a lot of shows and this has to be the loudest I've been to... Really good sound, well balanced and clear. Ozzy did a good job - even if he was shuffling around like he had dementia... He kept getting shuffling back to the drumkit and dipping his head in a bucket of water - no kidding...
Geezer and Mr Iommi did a fantastic job creating a wall of sound and the drummer - Jeez he's good. I can't remember the last time I saw a 10 minute drum solo but this one was really good. With his head band and long hair, along with the high arm smashes he had a real John Henry Bonham circa 1973 look (a little thinner and sporting a few more tats admittedly) - really enjoyable solo.
