This is a great set by Chains at Rebellion...with the high winds and rain, it made for great night! Sucks the next day got cancelled :( Solid IEM recording from Jerry Cantrell's feed...there is a cut in the IEM during Got Me Wrong and the intro to Stone...totally taper error... thought I had my 8gb card in the recorder, but it was the 4gb...after realizing it cut off, I quickly deleted the Limp Bizkit I recorded earlier in the day so I could get the rest of Chains....trust me, there is no loss there...only about 4 mins or so was missed.

The audience source is terrible...we were beside the soundboard but the wind made it virtually impossible to get good sound...thankfully it was there to make it a complete show...it does add some ambience to the IEM...I gave my buddy my mics and he was cool enough to stand there and pull the show for me...it was his first time ever, so kudos to I.C.E. If anyone has a better audience recording of this show, I would love to have it so I can remix it. We would like to give major thanks to all involved in making this happen....you all know who you are!

It's only in relatively recent years that I've warmed to Quadrophenia, and now I fully recognise it for the brilliant piece of work that it is.

I'd heard good things about this most recent take on the Quadrophenia show. Even so, it surpassed my expectations. Superb show,  which the band came across as enjoying as much as the audience. First class production; very effective use of films and animation shown on screens above and behind the band.

Only one slightly uncomfortable moment of note. Pete was handed an out-of-tune guitar for Baba O'Riley. It lasted a short few bars before being tossed off the side of the stage towards the guitar tech area. Seconds later, a somewhat sheepish looking guitar tech came onto the stage with a replacement, not daring to raise his head to make eye contact with his Master...

Marvellous bit at the end where Pete pays homage to the comedy TV program "Father Ted" (or at least the character Father Jack Hackett). Terrific show, and one which I wish I'd bothered myself to see more than once.

Total running time [2:45:50]

Tape story:
The venue is the main arena in Bologna (actually Casalecchio di Reno) formerly known as Futurshow Station and PalaMalaguti I had a seat at the left of the first level gallery in front of the stage at about 60 m from it Very quite people around me (except for the third encore, of course...) The sound of the recording is excellent Several late arrivers with seats in my raw passed in front of me during Closedown, others left their seats during the first encore break and came back during At Night, resulting in temporary muffled sound in both tracks (30+10 secs)

What about the show?
It was my fourth The Cure show (the others were all in the Milan area in 1992, 2008 and 2012; 2008 and 2012 were also taped) A very enjoyable concert with an excellent screen and light show quite uncommon for The Cure A possible "setlist of my dreams" with the "Seventeen Seconds encore", Charlotte Sometimes and also IOTWCS debuting in the European Leg of the 2016 Tour (neglecting 7 pre-1982 tracks!!!... never in this leg) Happy Birthday to Roger was sung at the end of the first encore break

Technical notes:
- The total running time of the recording was 2:47:06; I have cut the first 52 secs and last useless 24 secs reducing the master to 2:45:50.
- I have amplified (+5.5 dB on the left channel, +4.5 dB on the right channel) and slightly compressed (-12 dB/1.5:1) the whole recording and faded-out the last 10 secs
- If you burn to audio CD, you will need 3 CDs (CD1: 01-13; CD2: 14-25; CD3: 26-36)

Notes by the taper
My first Macca concert and probably the greatest experience of my life. The Beatles were the first band I got into, and I've been a fan for 15 years or so, since I was a kid. I was in Section E, Row 17, seat 3, right by the aile. I had a great view, and I think the recording came out pretty good. This is one of better recordings (if that means anything). The acoustic songs are a big quiet, and there's some minor yelling/clapping, but my "neighbors" were mostly quiet throughout the show. I hope Paul does more US touring next year, I would love to see him again. It was hot and nasty in Milwaukee and Paul was sweating a lot, his voice had some rough spots, but, whatever, great show.

A phenomenal concert from Bon Jovi in their prime! I highly recommend anyone who doesn't have this download it, just look at the setlist.

Note: Very long show (180 minutes), even longer than round 1 which was 160 minutes! Drift Away, a very rare song that was played as an introduction to Always. No Gloria excerpt in Bad Medicine this time. Stranger In This Town, a song from Richie Sambora's solo project from 1991. So You Wanna Be A Rock n Roll Star in full version! No My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms this time, but (It's Hard) Letting Go was played. I Can't Help Falling In Love was sung before Bed Of Roses instead of Diamond Ring. No I'd Die For You acoustic wise this time, but I'll Be There For You instead. Overall a great show with lots of surprises!

Another one from the 'dust collection'. Scanned through my list, found this and was mildly surprised that it still works (i've run into a media degradation lately, 2 DVDs stopped working). This is a very nice audience recording as the samples will prove. RIP Glenn Frey. I had to create an .md5, there was only the info file with an .ffp on the text and the tracks. I'm not sure which category to put it in, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Rock n Roll...so i settled on Rock. Enjoy this, i am. So I'm sharing this here, just as i got it back in the day (around 2006 so new lineage is add the following to the lineage in the info: -> transferred to DVD in .flac form -> transferred to internal HDD -> used TLH to combine info, md5 and audio files into a torrent -> Dime -> YOU!) and have changed nothing below this intro. So, without further ado, i present....

Comments:
Excellent recording overall -- great mix, great dynamics, and very courteous audience. You can tell that the show is taking place in a cavernous stadium, but the taper had a good spot relative to the PA. This is a worthwhile download for even a casual fan.

Depending on how Art's recovery progresses, this may be the last sighting of Simon & Garfunkel (other than the one-off New Orleans Jazz Fest show as the sole date of their canceled tour in 2010). Nice setlist, and somewhat different from their world tour of 2003-2004; Art and Paul each take 3 solo songs in the middle of the set; otherwise all Simon & Garfunkel material is the same as on their previous tour.

This recording sounds a little more distant than the 7/10 recording, but has a little fuller sound. It has a different sound, but equally enjoyable.

slumpy's notes - if you don't have this, get it - simple as that - a stunning double-set in astounding quality.
**

I first listened to this release on my main Hi Fi system, which is a pretty good rig. I thought that there was a very powerful bottom end sound, to the slight loss of the top end. I then listened to it through the speakers connected to my computer, and got a totally different impression. There is a better tiop end sound and it was really punchy and powerful. I was very impressed with the quality. Therefore this release may well sound different to people depending on the sound system it is played on. It of course must be compared to the Genuine Masters The Devils Blues that came out a while back, on a DVD-A. The sound on that release is powerful and more natural. This Beelzebub release has been remastered and sounds very punchy and powerful. Some people may prefer the Genuine Masters version, whilst others may prefer the Beelzebub version. As to the concert itself, it is of course a classic, one of the group's very best ever performances. This release has the added bonus of the Alexis Korner 19th March 1969 AM World Service radio broadcast. The sound here is probably as good as it gets, and so this release is very worthwhile. The packaging is in a colour card gatefold, very nicely done, and the CDRs are picture discs. There is a photo of Alexis Korner on the inside cover, and on the CDRs. (Jamie Boswell March 2005)

Just when you think it's safe to say "This is the definitive release of show X" something always pops up to make you think again. The last night at the Fillmore has long been a favourite of just about every fan or collector past and present, and I myself must have 10 different bootleg and non-bootleg versions already. This release basically puts the rest onto the dusty top shelf, even the wonderful Genuine Masters Devils Blues release of last year. Compared side by side I am amazed at the difference - a warmer, more rounded sound, this release breathes more life into an already lively recording. Sourced from an obviously different original tape, this just sounds so much better than the rest, and has been a permanent fixture in my CD player for 2 days solid. I hesitate to say it, but until Mr Page releases an official version, this is now "The definitive release of this show"! The bonus material consists of an AM radio recording of the Alexis Korner radio show session from a few weeks earlier, with a second version of Sunshine Woman from a superior source thrown in for good measure, and the whole package comes in the traditional Beelzebub triple-gatefold card sleeve with printed discs. All in all, a superior sound to any of the previous offerings, and a must-have release. (Captain McCrunge March 06)

Argenteum Astrum :
This show is just blistering. The first set has the group firing on all cylinders and playing their hearts out. The second set is more bluesy and laid back, but that never means less enjoyable. The only live version of Sittin' and Thinkin', a Buddy Guy number, is here and the completely different song list for each set make this a great show to have. Dazed And Confused is really dark here. The group's excitement to be so anticipated by Californian audience found their way in Plant ad-libbed lyrics of I Can't Quit You Baby: "I'm so glad you came tonight ... but I think we're gonna leave this town for a little while ... I don't want to leave you people ... but I think we've got to leave San Francisco for a little while". Also some member of the audience is calling for You Shook Me, what makes a quick and quite funny response from Plant: "Right! Don't worry by that! Just one before that!"
