This is not such a great rarity (as the previous ones), but still, is an item not available in stores - and since it's a Deep Purple concert, I think it's worth sharing. This is a private show that Deep Purple agreed to perform for some Swiss Bankers' Union (...!) and took place in Zurich on December 18, 2007. The tracklisting consists of kinda 'greatest hits' (probably after specific request - or should I say, demand). It lasts about 60 minutes, it's professionally taped and after all, it is always as good as a Deep Purple performance is, that means 'excellent'.  Far to my knowledge, there is not available for downloading anywhere, so far.

The NYC Loan Star Roadhouse Recordings:
These shows are being heard publicly for the first time as a tribute to the late Rich Comras, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in January, 2017. Rich began recording the Grateful Dead in 1983, using a Nakamichi 550.  Later, he was one of the first tapers to record on a Sony TCD-D10 Pro DAT which was Sony’s first heavyweight DAT recorder. Rich recorded close to 100 shows at the Roadhouse during the period 1989 through 1993.  All these shows were recorded on his trusty D10, surreptitiously placed on a shelf under a baseball cap at the soundboard. Fellow Deadheads and music lovers Jon Ashner and David Minches are leading the effort for this project to release the music into the public domain.  Jon is now in possession of these recordings and is providing information about the shows.  David Minches is performing the transferring and mastering.

Prof sez:
A great recording, for the first time with complete line-age. Sadly, this is not complete, unlike other versions circulating. But as far as I know, this is the first digitally recorded FM version, so it should be an upgrade.

This was show was banned here before on dime, because of the track "Wake Up and Live": which has been officially released. That track was not included in this re-broadcast. To my best knowledge and reseach, nothing here has been officially release.

The Vara did a truly great job in recording and mixing this. Just love that big bass sound that only reggae bassists seem to have. The trackorder is probably not chronicle, as it is very different from the trackorder of the bootleg w/ the complete version. But I left everything as is. Just raised the volume a bit.

I recorded this at someone else's house from the FM cable, using my own tuner and digital recorder. I had the hardest time finding the right radio frequency, because the radio station I tried to find on the cable is on a different frequency in my own town. I started searching half an hour before the broadcast. But as time went by, I could not find what I was looking for. Then miracleously, I found the right frequency just 10 seconds before the concert started ! Pheeeew....

Nice one from the "Too Low For Zero" tour and a full radio broadcast from Sydney. A kind of Greatest Hits from Elton´s material from the 70´s and 80´s. Soundwise this is very good although not pristine, given that this is an almost 30 years old recording.
