Notes
To this day, one of my favorite bands is Eric Burdon and WAR and then WAR for a couple years after that. I got this a long while back. It ended up on a failed hard drive and I was able to save this about 2 years ago.I'm glad I was able to recover this and many other gems from that drive. Burdon would leave WAR during this tour. What you will get here in this download is a great, short-but-sweet couple of toonz that contain some really great grooves and pockets..  Even in black and white it shows what the Eric Burdon and WAR show was all about. This is da shit in my opinion. The thing that stands out to me is how low of a volume the band actually plays at here, allowing the songs to breath and percolate... I like it like that. This band oozes cool. For a bit of history, WAR was a backup band for Deacon Jones (LA Rams) when the band was then called NightShift. Producer Jerry Goldstein suggested to Eric that he collaborate with this band for a future project... which spawned "Eric Burdon Declares WAR".  Thanks to whoever put this out there for us! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. I wish there was a complete version of this out there that I could get. "bluzman"
