Recording Information ::: unknown Sony(?) stereo cassette recorder with unknown microphones -> master stereo AUD cassette tape, no noise reduction.
Playback early 1970's by taper (equipment type unknown) ::: master stereo AUD cassette tape, no noise reduction, azimuth adjusted -> 1st generation reel-to-reel tape.
Playback circa 2005 (equipment type unknown) ::: 1st generation reel-to-reel tape, azimuth adjusted -> to DVD audio @48KHz (wavs).
Remastered 2013-01/02 ::: (flac's/de-flac'd) 48KHz wavs of 1st gen tape remastered as follows: NO equalisation! Normalised to remove DC offset. Fixed left channel offset on both sides of tape(s). Adjusted pitch (-.65). Most dropouts & dull spots fixed but surely missed some & a few were only partially repairable. Some volume fluctuations between channels & from taper recording adjustments evened out. Some audience clapalong at beginnings of 2 songs. Tape condition required MANY hours of work in first 3/5ths of recording, but remainder was better (thankfully). There's a bit of high end or volume fluctuation from mike motion and/or tape aging issues, not really a problem, more noticeable on headphones. Boosted total levels (transfer levels somewhat low). Downsampled from 48KHz to 44.1KHz. -> CD Wave (track splits) -> Trader's Little Helper -> yer ears Estimated early show total mastering time 14 hours. First uploaded week of 2013-02-09.

CoolSonics 214 ::: Thanks to the original taper, The Florida Kid! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Here's one for me younger bro', who kept the Winwood/Traffic mentality alive for years in the latter part of the 70s, when many would said it was on the wane. This '72 concert date was in the midst of heavy rotational years of Traffic audio intake for me. Little Queenie was way, WAY addicted to "Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys", so we sparked in many ways & not usually at low mental or aural volume & often in the car in the ol' Queen City of Carlot, as Jorma said a few years later, just "Drivin' Around"! Only 2 months after what is probably my favorite Traffic gig of this vintage, Boston Music Hall, and listening to this, I KNOW what has been missing from my live musical experiences for many the year! They just don't make 'em like this anymore & Winwood can't go back for whatever reason. He may play the tunes, but IT ain't there no more as far as I can hear. Of course, others hear differently & individualised tastes are what it's all about. It ain't a pissin' contest, it's the best copy of this show I could get to after a lot o' work. Let yr hair down & hoist yr glasses high. Enjoy!
