Geetarz Comments:
This concert was originally aired live by BBC Radio 2. The show begins with an announcer voice-over as the band begins with "Let it Rain". The original live broadcast ended with "Cocaine", as the band left the stage for the encore break.
The encores ("Sunshine of Your Love" and "Got My Mojo Working") were never broadcast by the BBC.

Some weeks after the concert, I was contacted by a BBC Engineer and offered a complete, pre-FM version of this show, with encores, "no optimod or additional compression". Fuck it, I don't even know what "optimod" is, but damned if it doesn't sound impressive, and if he says it doesn't have it - it doesn't.

Now here's the rub ... the BBC distributed this show from the venue to their broadcast centre via an internal digital link, which is lossy. I have no idea what the technical specifications are of the internal BBC link. BUt in the case of this recording, because of the distribution used, *all* versions of this performance are from the same signal, as there was never an analog distribution. In this case, there is nothing to be gained by acquiring FM broadcast versions, since they were broadcast using the same source.

Here it is, in all its glory. No remastering, no "tweaking", no editing, no B.S., in perfect digital quality.
