Show Notes:
For a guy with some significant health issues, barely able to get on/off stage with assistance, Peter Frampton has a really good energy on-stage. Good vibes, engaging of the crowd, and still can play the guitar like a master. My first time seeing Peter Frampton, but nice 2.5 hour show with good tunes. If you enjoy Frampton, it's a good listen.

Recording Notes:
Always fun to do a show with twelve possible iem feeds to pick with only a five piece band and no soundcheck. Ran extra feeds and managed to catch the right feeds (with some quick switches at the beginning that nobody will notice). Ran eight feeds on my person, and ended up just using five.

Nice stereo final mix with all components clear. Only oddball point is Peter sits on the right side of stage (from audience perspective). I usually try to mix the stereo spread to reflect what the audience sees. So Peter and his guitar is panned to the center, as he's the star of the show. The second guitarist, who sits more to center-left, is actually mixed to the right channel. Doesn't necessarily reflect what audience saw on the stage, but a better listen in my opinion. Final mix also has a nice clear lead guitar, and you can really hear all the stereo effects on the guitar that usually get washed out over a PA.

Special thanks to TheJackal for his audience source that helped fill out some crowd noise sections.

Enjoy y'all!

  1. Superb sounding concert from veteran rocker Peter Frampton. Over two hours long and no breaks. There's a few songs off "Comes Alive", as well as a Humble Pie track and even a great version of the George Harrison penned "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Well worth the download.

  2. This is a 2½ hour concert from former Humble Pie and Camel guitarist, Peter Frampton. It's a great mix and performance, with songs from "Frampton Comes Alive", Humble Pie and even a killer version of The Beatle's classic "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Well worth the download. Peter.
