This show took place on the first night of the Chicago Blues Festival. This show also feathured a brief 15 minute showing of the blues documentary "Born In Chicago" The announced line-up for the show was awesome. Then came CBR. This was a great show with musicians many of us grew up loving and listening to their music. These guys also brought out Sam Lay, Charlie Musselwhite, Eric Burden,Elvin Bishop, and special guests like Lonnie Brooks and Shemekia Copeland. It was an awesome night of blues from white blues musicians of the 60's and some of their own heroes.
You can watch some videos of the show on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/lordofthemosh

"Born in Chicago is a film that chronicles the story of the early 1960's where a small group of white teenage musicians went to Chicago's toughest neighborhoods to learn the blues. These kids were treated like sons by the likes of Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters and later went on to make some of most influential and popular albums of the 20th century. Now they come together to the Windy City on June 6 to perform all of their greatest hits for the Born in Chicago movie Premier Party. The Chicago Blues Reunion Band featuring Corky Siegel, Harvey "the snake" Mandel, Barry Goldberg and Nick "the greek" Graventies will perform along with special guests Charlie Musselwhite, Elvin Bishop, Eric Burdon, Sam Lay and some very special surprise guests. June 6 at the Vic will be a historic. A super extended clip of the Born in Chicago documentary film to be shown prior to the concert for the very first time. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Chicago's Coalition for the Homeless.
