Show identifiers - early show
CD1 Track 1. 4:32 "Hari's on Tour (Express), thank you, and welcome to Nassau!"
CD1 Track 2. 8:44 Excuse me, I always forget about the people at the back - I mean good afternoon!
[NB this was unintelligible on the Undercover version, which shows how good the upgrade is!]
CD1 Track 4. George sings along with Billy Preston a little
CD1 Track 5. Introduces song and album it was on. At end "Ravi's not with us due to illness..."
CD2 Track 3. Band intro at end. "Hiding in the shadow of love, Kumar Shankar... On saxes and all kinds of things that they blow..."
CD2 Track 4. 3:52 cut.
CD2 Track 5. 5:55 God bless John Lennon ... and all the ex ex ex fab moptops. Now I'd like to do a new single, which is just creating havoc in the record industry. People across the continents are shielding their eyes against this song from Tommy Scott..".
CD2 Track 7. 5:03 ends with a sort of piratey "Ah har!" on the last note...
CD2 Track 8. 4:11 Are you ready to boogie-woogie? Good! William Everett Preston!"
CD2 Track 11 4:34 "Thank you, good afternoon, and God bless you all! OK till the next show [?], thank you!" There is a cut in applause before start of "My Sweet Lord".

Show identifiers - late show
CD3 Track 02: no mention of the venue during song, just "Thank you!" at the end
CD3 Track 03: applause at the guitar intro, and again at start of vocals - he doesn't sing "gently smiles" till towards the end
CD4 Track 02: "I'd just like to more formally introduce this band ... [introducing the horn section] you name it, they blow it!" He mentions kidnapping Tom Scott and Robben Ford from the LA Express for the tour (not for the first time...).
CD4 Track 04: ~2:19 "Feel free to join in!"
CD4 Track 04: 4:13 At the lack of applause, George exclaims an "Phhh" of complete exasperation, followed by "shit... Is there anybody out there?" [was Roger Waters in the audience?!]
CD4 Track 04: 4:26 Introducing "In my Life" - "Like to do a song by an old friend and a new friend - you all allow him to come and stay!", referring to John Lennon's visa problems. He only sings "I love God more" towards the end, and also sings "Olivia more!" as a pun on "I love you more".
CD4 Track 05: 6:10 George introduces "Tom Cat" as "a new single which is bubbling under".
CD3 Track 05: 5:25 at the audience - "Still there?!" the crowd come to life during "Outta Space"...

The 38th and 39th shows of George Harrison's 1974 North American tour, from an audience recording. This one contains the full shows, with the Indian sections, which were missing from earlier versions. The sound quality (after a slightly rough start) is excellent - clear (if not absolutely crystal) and clean, and an improvement on the Undercover set, which came from the same recordings. Now one of the best-sounding shows from the tour...

EARLY SHOW
The recording gets off to a muffled and uneven start, but becomes clearer as it progresses. George's voice does not sound hoarse at all, although his speaking voice is perhaps a bit deeper than normal. Ravi Shankar is still off sick, and George mentions this in the introduction to the Indian section. There is a tape cut after the end of "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)", but it doesn't affect the music. George remains upbeat, with a few jokes sprinkled into the proceedings, and unlike the evening performance, there is no hint of frustration at any lack of audience enthusiasm.

LATE SHOW
The crowd were evidently unresponsive (though people around the taper sound enthusiastic), and George expresses frustration at this at a couple of points in the second half of the show. His good humour remains, however. This is the show which John Lennon attended (at least part of it anyway - he said the Indian section wasn't played as Ravi shankar was still out of action: in fact, the full Indian set was played! Perhaps he was misquoted - but Badman gives an extended transcription which looks genuine). The tapes wobbles in the Undercover version are gone, along with the tape cuts (except during the pre-encore applause).
