Notes:
In 1997 Faith No More played a small number of gigs in Germany to promote "Album of the year".Those gigs were played in small venues, in front of a few hundred people only. One of those gigs was broadcasted by a local radio station.I may be wrong about this, but I think this was Berlins "SO 36" (a small club in Berlin). This is a very good gig, the band is very tight and Patton is simply unbelievable.

JTT REMASTER
Just the straight concert from keithdylan's Reel to Reel source
With thanks to keithdylan I have tidied up his Reel to Reel source to present the complete show in as clean as possible condition. No alterations have been made to the sound other than using the best channel in each track, removing a few gliches, cleaning track transitions and fading where needed. I consider this to be the best source I have heard and do not like composite recordings so made this for my own listening pleasure. It came out well so here's hoping some others may want a copy.

Notes by the taper:
An excellent, long show. EC voice was in fine voice. The "Happy" spin and final encore were fantastic. Show could have perhaps been better with a few less covers, and the end of the main set sort of lacked a big finish. Anyway, still great. EC often ignored the spin and moved the wheel to something he wanted to play. Interesting special guests. Vanessa Paradis sang parts of Alison in French. La Marisoul sang parts of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood in Spanish. Excellent recording. Samples below. Elvis is still king.

07.Back Stage Interview With Led Zeppelin and Phil Collins (MTV Source)

A very enjoyable show definitely. All tracks are sourced from the BBC Radio 1 broadcast of the event Except for track 7 which is the MTV Interview by JJ Jackson and is a lower quality than the rest. There is some distortion on the drum intro to Rock And Roll only for about 5 seconds, mainly due to link up problems.Recorded on an Hitachi SR 4010 Radio Reciever with Hitachi D-35s Tape Deck. The audio quality is crystal clear.

On 13 July 1985, Page, Plant and Jones reunited for the Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, playing a short set featuring drummers Tony Thompson and Phil Collins and bassist Paul Martinez. Collins had contributed to Plant's first two solo albums while Martinez was a member of Plant's group Band of Joy. The performance was marred by the lack of rehearsal with the two drummers, Page's struggles with an out-of-tune guitar, poorly functioning monitors, and by Plant's hoarse voice.Page described the performance as "pretty shambolic", while Plant characterised it as an "atrocity". The hype for performance was billed as a Led Zeppelin reunion by many reproters ,radio DJ's and TV. Introduced on stage as Robert Plant,Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones by Phil Collins, interviewed after as Led Zeppelin. This should have been for Philadelphia what Queen were for London, sadly it wasn't, only 90 minutes rehearsal or something (Jimmy Page(without Phil Collins. They faced criticism when it was revealed they refused permission for their performance to be included on the DVD, which will raise money for Sudan. The members have issued a statement saying the reason was because it had been a "sub-standard" performance.

As the location is only 3 miles away from my home, I went to this show after I have been thrilled by the re-union show I went to in Amsterdam a few months earlier. As I knew that this day of the Leverkusener Jazzfestival was presented by "Rockpalast", I expected that the show would be recorded for a later broadcast.

I think I don't have to spend much time on the music. This show is a perfect concert (both musically and technical in the sense of picture and sound quality) of the 2005 VDGG reunion line-up. This is a must have not only if you're a VDGG fan. There was the speak of releasing this show officially a while ago, but it seems that these plans are cancelled.

An edited version of this concert (about 59 minutes) was broadcast on WDR, 16. January 2006. It had 6 tracks, plus 2 portions of an interview with Peter Hammill. You'll find this version on Disc 2.

Finally, on 19. August 2007, the complete show was broadcasted on WDR. In the meantime there's a 'WDR Test A' station on Astra 19.2E, which carries exactly the WDR program, but has a Dolby Digital audio track in 448 kbps and most of the time a much much higher bitrate. The result is a perfect picture and a bitrate over 7 mbps. So without doubt, this DVD provides the best SD quality of this show that you can find.

I included the mpeg stereo audio stream as well (you can choose audio in the menu), there's also a second mpeg audio stream included (not reachable through menu), while I don't know how and if it differs to the other ones - there was space for it left on the DVD anyway ;-).

The first aired edited version of the concert is included in this torrent (on Disc 2) mainly for the interview portions. But also -because of the high bitrate of the complete broadcast- I had to split the complete show onto two DVDs and there was place for the edited broadcast on Disc 2. You see that I'm kind of a completist ;-). Sorry for those of you with a slow connection.

Let me ask you a favour: feel free to share this torrent, but PLEASE DON'T CONVERT TO LOSSY FORMATS and -of course- DON'T SELL IT! I'd also like to ask to leave menus & artwork as they are when you share and trade, thanks!

I'm always looking for high quality trades, especially Jethro Tull material. If you got anything worthy to offer, feel free to drop me a line ;-).

Entertaining concert. Theatrical twist with video screens, men dressed in brown overalls with flat

Notes:
Excellent recording from New Gold Dream Tour. This boot (and loads of other old SM stuff) often circulates in mp3 format. Some stupid folks in the Simple Minds trading circles convert to lossy format before trading so be aware!! Anyway, this recording is the real deal. The NGD album is one of my all time faves for sure.

Back at that time this show was quickly sold out and i got a bad ticket left side of stage at the top level at the isstadion and my recording sound a bit distant and some echoes. A mistake happened when switching cassettes for encore, and I probably pushed the pause button. Completely sold out show and good performance of the band , swedish band 220 VOLT was opening band and was not taped by me.

Notes:
Like most of the shows from the first American leg of this tour (and the third American leg of 1974), this is a very loose, relaxed show, with plenty of quotes in Dupree's Paradise. Despite the hissiness of this tape, it's clearly the best of four tapes sampled

Review:
Great 2 CD set from one of my favorite periods. This contains the complete circulating soundboard tape, missing some of the girls' material, and Dylan's Mr Tambourine Man, the opening Saved and an instrumental jam. This final night of the European tour was marred by tragedy. A concert goer fell into the power grid and was electrocuted. All power was lost at the end of Slow Train, and Dylan and the band improvised acoustic songs on stage until it was restored. The tragedy multiplied when, emerged into darkness, another girl died after falling from a retaining wall. The show must go on, and so it does. And what a show it is. Dylan is focused and powerful. A fantastic effort from all, and the soundboard recordings are near perfect. Bob is on fire. The old standards are attacked with the same fervor and alternate phrasing that he uses on the gospel songs, and the result is incredible. One exception is Girl Of The North Country. Bob sings it beautifully, but the band flounders like a bunch of amateurs. They should have let him do it acoustically.
* Bob doesn't sing on these.

Notes by the taper:
Another three hour blowout from the Bruce Springsteen Traveling Revue. Tom Morello still there. Four great songs from Darkness. Great solo from Nils on Youngstown. Nice tribute to guitar tech Kevin Buell. His 1000th show! Recorded from the front of Loge 14. I have no idea where Josh Brolin was sitting. All songs complete. No issues. Another nice sounding show. Samples below.

LA night #2. A frustrating show to some degree. Had a hard time loving this one. Too. Much. Sameness. Kept hoping for big setlist surprises but they rarely came. Remember the two landmark LA shows from April 2009? Sorry, but these two shows aren't that. Am I alone in being completely tired of hearing The Rising and Lonesome Day in exactly the same spot in almost every show since 2007? And does TGOTJ with TM have to be played at at every SOCAL show?

Oh yeah, there was this. At about 7:20 Bruce came out on stage and played For You solo acoustic. Imagine that. Place 80% empty. I was just getting there and saw most of it, but no didn't get it on tape. Hopefully someone did.

Taped and mastered by JB. Please don't sell. Please DO NOT convert to lossy format and upload anywhere. If you upload this show on another site, include all the text info above, especially the NO LOSSY part, but please do not upload this to any site that has anything to do with Lossy formats.
