show notes:
well, here ya have a "new source" to the party....seeing as how the Stones (and Pearl Jam opening) were so well documented over the years, I never bothered with throwing these into the ring. then, realizing how good the seats I had were, and listening again, I figured "why not"....? made it to the first two shows of this 4 show run (which was a good thing, as it poured buckets on the 18th and 19th, I believe), and the one memory I have is walking down to the field with a large beer in each hand thinking to myself "FUCK YEAH, Pearl Jam AND the Stones in one night". and to PJ's credit, they are the *only* opening band I've seen a stadium that had the place full by the end of their hour long set (another polite nod to PJ from the Stones, as all other opening acts on this tour got a mere 40 minutes, whereas PJ got a full hour+ each night). one of the PJ sets has been shared, and now one of the Stones ones. will try and get to night 2 (taped from the *19th* {Nervous Breakdown} row) here before the end of next month. these were mastered to be CRANKED, so CRANK IT! yet again, kudos to dandrew for gettin' 'er done. you could follow my lead and tell him thanks. then, if that offends you, do your best "you're not the boss of me" in my direction. I can handle it, promise. one more 'gem' crossed off of the bucket list...
