Sharing bootlegs Prince again?

What hinders Prince bootlegs sharing in your opinion?
Some of you pointed out to me that it is useless to hide the magnificent art of this little big man

  3. Lots available (for now) over at the 'Reliquary' blog, along with tons of other things. I've only recently discovered their site. Lots of variety.

    1. i used to follow that blog. a lot of good music that i finally turned and walked away from. i don't care what a person's politics are, and, while it's questionable whether they have a place on a music blog, that's ultimately up to whomever is behind the keyboard. the same for how one makes their point, which, in this case, was couched in some of the ugliest language and vile terms, just downloading left me feeling the need for a shower. the world, and internet, are full of enough ugliness. i chose to walk away rather than give it a passive endorsement.
      yup.

    2. wow. How long ago was that ? I've only been visiting the site for about 6 weeks, and I definitely have not seen anything like what you are describing. If I do, I'll walk away as well. Couldn't agree more.

    3. yes his politics are truly vile and he doesn't like being confronted about them either. You're only endorsing him if you donate as he keeps asking for now. Otherwise you're simply freeloading off a right-wing asshole and there's nothing wrong with that.

  4. What hinders Prince bootlegs sharing in your opinion? At this point in time, just his estate and how they choose to handle it. Tread lightly.

  6. If the estate is going to sue his fans, like he did, then I wouldn't. Its easy to say its useless, when the risk is all going to the blog owner.

  7. I'm not really a Prince fan, but I remember when he attempted to sue you for posting some of his live shows. If his estate is likely to threaten the same now that he's gone, I'd say it's not worth it...

  8. PERSONALLY, I DON'T SEE THE ATTRACTION....

  9. I would still be very careful. Sites are still being set up and taken down just as quickly which is very unfortunate because the vast majority of people just want to share the music. This only creates a place where people have to buy stuff at outrageous prices.

  10. I wouldn't do it...purple reports apparently was pulled offline due to Prince links. Still appears to be some policing going on...

  11. With so much good music out there, why bother with someone who chose to make it an issue? If he doesn't want his music to be heard, or was too greedy and saw these sites as pennies slipping through his talented (but misguided fingers) - for now I would say respect the dead man's wishes, if he doesn't want to share, than his loss really. What else does he have now to give? He couldn't just appreciate his part in music history I guess...

  12. With Kickass Torrents being taken down, and enforcement always on the rise. Is the Royal Prick of Purple worth losing your website that we all cherish so much? We've lost so many good sites and yours is truly the Ultimate in my Bootleg experience... please Prince ain't worth it...
