Notes
"Few would call Van's "Wavelength" tour a high-water mark in his live performance career. The shows tended to be short, with Van double booked, and the set lists varied little. This performance at the Roxy is a notable exception. Veteran collectors may remember this show as one of the first in their collections, thanks to the abbreviated version released by Warner Bros. as a promo LP. The now rare bootleg LP, George Ivan Morrison followed, which, while filling in some of the gaps in the Warner Bros. release, still did not include "Purple Heather".

KWEST-FM in Los Angeles did broadcast the entire performance, and CSP is pleased to offer this to collectors and fans as Volume VI in our ongoing series. Enjoy what we consider to be the definitive "Wavelength" tour recording - featuring a terrific version of "Sweet Thing", a scorching "Help Me", an uptempo "Purple Heather", and of course, "Wavelength" - now never performed."
