PERFORMANCE:
This is a great concert by 1981 standards - it's very well worth listening through more than once. I wouldn't rank it among "my top 5 1981 shows" - but maybe among my top 10....which is quite high, since there were about 50 shows in US 1981. But who cares aboutZ"ranking"....please pardon those last sentences, ha ha Anyway, the entire band has a lot of *energy* - but they're also in *control* of this energy, this night. So it's a treat.
COMMENTS:
Unlike some other 1981 mono SBD shows, Cedar Falls has NOT been released by Empress Valley. Therefor, the DAC release is the "defintive version" of this recording. The quality of this Cedar Falls recording is quite above most of the 1981 SBD recordings, it's really a nice listen.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
I have torrented this DAC a couple of years ago on DIME. But this is a new (and more secure) rip. The music is the same of course.
