Editing: Adobe Audition (Phase Correction) > Soundforge (editing & tracking) > Wav > TLH [SB's aligned] Flac Level 8

More rare goodness being shared today. From what I can tell this is a fairly rare recording that hasn't been circulated too much I've got a soundboard from Paul Butterfield, who lived from Dec 17, 1942 - May 4, 1987 (age 44). Not sure what venue this is from in Indianapolis. We have 2 sets here that have various tape cuts.

Recording Notes:
Track 6 has a cut @ 1:13. a little music missing.
Track 8 has a cut @ 1:04. a little music missing.
Track 9 'Mystery Train' cuts in.

Set 2 starts with 'Driftin', which cuts in and has a tape flip @ 2:28. a little music missing.
The last track 16 gets cut off due to tape ending.
For the life of me, I can't figure out the title to track 12. Somebody please tell me.

Set 1 = 40:20 min
01 Poor Boy
02 I Must Love You Too Much
03 If You Live

Audio CD ripped to hard drive using Exact Audio Copy, FLAC via Trader's Little Helper

FRANK got this in the same batch as the Geoff Muldaur (originally credited as Geoff and Amos Garrett but Amos ain’t on it) that he recently uploaded.  It is identified as Betterdays December 30, 1973, but that’s only part of the story.

The Paul Butterfield Better Days December 30, 1973 gig was broadcast over KSAN

This is different from the Butterfield Blues Band, but still great music. The Better Days band included Amos Garrett, Geoff and Maria Muldaur, Ronnie Barron and Billy Rich.

Got to show just in time and i was in such a rush i forgot batteries all i had was a old set but i did have a extra ticket so i left the show and ran to the store to get batteries and used my extra ticket to get back in . I left the deck and mics with my buddy ronnie (rest in peace ) and he ran it untill the old batteries died . they died during olatunji set but i was back by then to change them right away

Notes:
I am unable to confirm the accuracy of the date and venue. I cannot find any contemporaneous records of this show on this date. Newspapers from the time report a show due at the Lone Star on 19 September 1984 by Rick Danko & Levon Helm. However, the various combinations of Band members performing together frequently changed, often at short notice.

This recording is missing the end tracks of both sets. There is a complete version of these shows from Jerry Moore's copy tape, which was used on the grey release "Live At the Lone Star" (Floating World Records FLOATD6097).
