This is a short BB King show and was performed after the Cannonball show I posted earlier. The tapes starts in the middle of the song 1. The soundboard isn't quite as full sounding as the Cannonball set but still it's BB.

This is from a reel to reel master soundboard. I got a chance to transfer some great mono soundboards from reel to reels in the early 80's. This is actually a Teac reel to reel to Cassette (top of the line Yamaha TC-1000 cassette deck from the 80's) and then transferred straight to my Philips CDR-765 deck. This is as close to a master generation as possible since the reels where sent off to a never-neverland surplus probably never to see the light of day from the original source. CD Burners didn't exist yet so I had to wait until they we're available to transfer this show This is a live soundboard that may or may not have been broadcast. I think you'll be pleased with the sound quality. Again, I used the top of the line Maxell tapes and transferred this to my Philips CDR-765 deck.

All you BB King Fans are gonna LOVE this New Release. First Time Anywhere in Near Complete Form. This Comes From KUOP-FM Radio Broadcast. For years only a short 35 minute version was available. A few years ago i obtained a much longer recording. The Month and Day were a Mystery, though I've been able to verify a date. During the show BB King mentions that the band is going to fly to Europe, the day after tomorrow. The 1985 UK tour started on July 6, 1985 in Edinburgh. By deduction that makes this Saratoga concert either on July 3rd or 4th. Depending if they landed in the UK and played that night or if they had 1 extra day to prepare for the show. I'm going with July 4th.

The bulk of this composite version is the high bitrate (5.80Mbps) BBC4 DVB-T broadcast. However, that broadcast omitted the (musical) introduction, which is here patched from a 5.46Mbps DVB-S BBCi broadcast (with 128kbps audio). A few seconds at the end are also patched from the same source; this second patch means that the final 3 seconds (audience noise only) are 128kbps, but also the final 35 seconds of video are patched, in order to eliminate a "coming up next" banner.
