PRE-13 SOURCE INFO
Here it is, the infamous Meddled ROIO, feverishly sought after by Floyd fans wanting to hear what Meddler was supposed to sound like before being mistakenly editted to mono.

It came from an FM broadcast over the BBC in England. The stereo dimension adds so much to the recording, you can actually hear very distinctly what each band member is doing.

This ROIO is just an incredible listen from start to finish. The sound is amazing as is the performance of the Floyd. Fat Old Sun never sounded better. It is important to note, Embryo and Blues came from a different original source I believe. You can read all about this title (and Meddler) at the following URL: http://www.pf-roio.de/roio/roio-cd/meddler.cd.html

One of the best Floyd ROIO's ever made, bar none. Sit back with a nice big fat one and enjoy the music

ahoy rotterdam
good FM quality

FM-tapedeck-comp-you.

about a year ago this was a torrent here.
this is my own rec. of that night.

the downside of this rec. is that, because
of the complete use of the tapes in that
time, i turned at the end of the tape.
so now and then it was in the middle of a song.
5- art for arts sake + 11- dreadlock holliday
arent here.
13-had a little skip; i repaired it as good as possible.

the positive thing is that the quality of this recording is much better as the previous torrent,
and that i'm not in love is complete + wont feel the benefit (14min!!!) is on this one......

i crossfaded the missing parts.

Notes:
Master cassette from the JEMS vaults. This transfer is done by the JEMS team and not a copy passed along from a third party. The recording is excellent sounding. The Community Trolls portion of the 1st set consists strictly of Michael Stipe and Matthew Sweet on vocals along with Sweet playing guitar. Contrary to information posted elsewhere the Community Trolls were not a support act but part of the actual 1st set also Sweet Jane was not done by the Community Trolls but is actually part of the 2nd set.

"I have torrented this before but this is probably the best transfer ever. This is an upgrade to the material found on the bootleg CDs 20th Century Boys Vols. One and Two. It is the master cassette source. Arguably one of the most important early recordings of the band in fantastic quality and loaded with amazing covers and performances of rare originals. "

Notes: The tape was recently unearthed during a clearout. The torrent has been upped more to fill a gap in the historical record than as an audiophile experience, as the audio quality suffers in some parts from radio distortion – it is possible that someone with more experience than mine in using filters could upgrade it; please feel free. In the absence of a published setlist, my identification of the tracks/palos is non-authoritative. I bow to any corrections.

Notes:
Years ago after much begging I was able to borrow and copy it from a friend who's father had recorded it via one of those 6ft backyard satellite dishes. It's a good thing I did because she later loaned it to someone else and never saw it again. I've done searches throughout the years and never found another copy uploaded anywhere. I'm beginning to think that until now I'm the only person who has it.

I tried transferring it to dvd on my own with mediocre results. I recently gave the tape to my brother-in-law who is a freelance video editor and has access to professional equipment. I'm extremely happy with the results. Please feel free to distribute this far and wide. If you are a Steve Winwood fan this is a must have.

Notes by the uploader/trader:
Well two versions were floating around one with tracks one to five and another mono one with tracks four to ten.

First of all I used the true stereo tracks one to five and then converting the mono tracks seven to ten into stereo to merge the show into one stereo recording.

I then had alter the volume of the last three tracks to equal that of the rest of the show. There was a lot of DJ ramble between and tracks six and seven so I cleverly spliced most of it out, joing the iron and maiden words together from the start and end of the commentary to make the transition smoother and also to cut out the dj talk.

Apart from that I decided to leave the other DJ rambles in as unfortunately it goes over the music anyway so there seemed little point cutting it out. I also made an intro and outro track so people can skip these if they wish.

The tracks were split in hat and aligned and at last we can enjoy the most complete copy of Blaze's first recorded show. I also added a fade in and out as personally I hate recordings that don't have this!
